We could always shut off supplies to the Isle of Sheppey.
I think they have just done a 'dry' run and it works.

 

Was a bit nipping at 6am but now it's sunny intervals and a gentle breeze from the west south west temp 21c
We could get showers next Wednesday.
Monday could get up to 38c

 

Got a letter today, asking everyone to stop using hosepipes ,stop car washing etc. It's just a request atm but if they make it official it's bound to rain for the next 6 months.

 

It's 28c and I'm sitting in the shade eating me monkey nuts.
They make a hell of a mess indoors.

When I keep saying our weather is usually dire I think the statement shown above says it all; usually I'm happy if it makes double figures without wind; hail and heavy rain but I believe this is coming next Wednesday to return us back to our green and pleasant land.

We switched the central heating on this morning and just turned it off; it was chilly indoors.

Its not just slap on the sunscreen now either, its dont even dare going outside after midday.
We're British and we are known for going out in the midday sun

I was trying to be inclusive.

 

We don't stay indoors despite having an almost shadeless garden for most part of the day. We have benches in areas near trees and have 3 tables with chairs + sun parasols in various places . Fortunately we can always find a nice place to sit.....but working in the garden at present is completely impossible. I tend to deadhead etc now around 9pm.

 

So how about a discount for people who have numerous Water Butts. I have 5 and now only 1 has a dribble of water in it.
