        Thankfully we seem to get a slight ( very) cooling effect from the Channel that takes the edge of things here for us..nevertheless I agree it's too warm.

        I don't enjoy sitting around sweating!!

          Sun breaking up hazy cloud, 21c going to 28c (real feel 33c) and breezy later. I will be pleased when we have a night temperature under 20c!

              Hot nights are awful Vicky ,what's your humidity levels.?
              Low levels definitely make it more bearable. Today for example in hubs hometown it's 38C but their humidity level is only 18%. Here we have 29C but our humidity is at 94%.

              That's the big difference that hubs said he struggled with when he first came over here to go to Uni.

                  Yesterday it just scraped 30C and the forecast for today is 31C.

                  I don't know what it is like out there now as all the curtains and blinds are closed and they have gone on strike for being made to work so hard the last few days. :whistle:

                  I'll pop out there briefly to fill up the bird feeders (they're kept in the shade) and fill the drinking bowls for cats, birds, bees and wasps (slanted stones and slates in the water for the flying insects). Yesterday one of the bee/wasp bowls had them lining up for their drinks. :blue thumb:

                  I've cancelled our Tuesday bridge club and a meeting on Tuesday and I think the village school will be closed Monday and Tuesday. 40C forecast for both days.

                    The weather app I'm using from the met office gives me 29c at 4pm and 28% humidity. :smile:

                      Just hit 29c we're inside with curtain and blinds close like Shiney but we do have some strong gusty winds which is making it better but the air is warm

                                Hi,

                                It's a long time since too much heat stopped me grafting outside but today and the next two days are exceptionally hot. 26C as I type but a great deal hotter soon; Wednesday more back to normal.
