WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE - 2022

Sunny and 20c, but dropped to 18c overnight.
They are spending mostly the whole news programme this morning talking about the weather.
Forecast a low of 22c overnight tonight, it was 21c overnight last week but nobody had it rammed down their throat, so it went unnoticed.

 

I am trying to figure that one out Logan. Maybe you should stay in bed a little later.

It is a lovely morning here, 20c with a fresh breeze going to 30c and breezy. I think the African heatwave has passed us.

 

Didn't like to say anything myself..

A good start to the day; Morrison's; Aldi; M&S & Home Bargains visited and home by 8:30. Car was displaying 25C which already is a WOW for us but a bigger WOW to come with 35C this afternoon.

Nice one pete; it makes a change from watching some overpaid fairy kicking or knocking a ball around.

It's too hot to be outside so the studio it is today and tomorrow; Wednesday back to grafting and normality. I think my wife and I have been abducted by aliens in a parallel world but one where Yorkshire is hot; 38C forecast for tomorrow so I know we aren't in the Yorkshire we've known all our lives.

Our shops don't open till 9am and some 10am.

Sitting enjoyng coffee ,croissants and my gardening magazine ( kindly delivered a short while ago by our postman singing 'Happy Birthday ' to my hubs).

Above are Morrison's opening times but the nearby Aldi; M&S & Home Bargains all open at 8am; I visit Morrisons arriving around 7:00 then I drive a very short distance to park at the other stores reaching Aldi by 7:30 where I enjoy half an hour at peace with the world whilst I read "The Strad" which I subscribe to; I know excactly what I want and were it is in each store so I'm in and out at speed and only two miles from the stores I'm home in no time at all; I've done this for so many years I've got it down to a fine art.

I've just enjoyed a short violin practice but had to leave the studio it being too hot; with the venetian blinds closed the sun was still burning my back but if I wait a while the sun will move. I'm not used to such heat; we've never needed air conditioning and usually I can easily control our bungalow and studio heat by adjusting the central heating which gets a lot of use. It's nice to have a lovely summer this year because they are usually cancelled with poor or bad weather all year apart from a few days.

We don't get up till 9am, but 8ish would be my earliest, perhaps a little earlier. T'other Half could stay in bed till noon and has been known to do so!!!

Inside the home say's 24c with all windows,curtains and blinds closed but we do have the Rayburn going to keep us warm
