YAWN, YAWN, WAKEY, WAKEY - 2022

Good day
For heaven's sake, I forgot all about being polite and saying good day to everyone!

Thank you everyone for asking about my family time. I had a fantastic time with the granddaughters and my son. We chatted and then played a nice long game of Pacheesie - yes, I have one of those "10 games in one tin" sets that was obviously made in a country where English is not the first language hence the fun to read instructions!

I spent the morning with my show and there were lots of laughs today. I got the last of the laundry done, clean linen everywhere, washed the insides of all of my windows. I brought in the chain saw from the garage as I have now identified which branch on the crabapple tree is providing a lovely causeway to the roof for the squirrels. The skies have clouded over and it looks like free water arriving any time so I'll have to wait for another day to do the buzz cut.

Lori I'm so happy for you ,your son and the grandkiddies. I echo what Vicky said..long may it continue. I'm going to have to Google your game as I've never heard of it.

We had an absolutely fabulous weekend, the nicer the weekend the quicker it seems to go!
Son and girlfriend came prepared ( with their laptops ) so that they could work from here in case the trains were disrupted due to the heat , but fortunately they got back Ok, although they will still work from their home tomorrow, as some trains will be effected.

Thanks for asking Flumpy and Lori, my leg thankfully has not swelled in the heat...last summer it was awful!! It does get quite achy but I expected that...it's as good as it will ever be now but I'm happy with that.

 

@Upsydaisy it is a version of Sorry which I believe used to be called Parcheesi

Not a lot on for today, except a walk down to our local post office maybe ,if we can muster up the energy in these temps.

A fine day has dawned here, a nice breeze.

T'other Half is going to buy a guitar and keyboard this morning and then by our insurance agent to report the car accident and may stop by the mechanic too.

...Our whole weekend was our joint treat...rest time now.
No we have renewed our passports online but need to return our old ones before they start processing them. If we don't fancy it then it can wait a day or two.

Snap ... I did mine last week and J took my old one to the PO last Tuesday. Lets see how long it takes to process the new one. Oh, I will go check on progress ...

It is 62f 20c and has been raining steadily all night and supposed to carry on until noonish. Absolutely wonderful as we really needed the water. And the timing is perfect. The window washers are to arrive around lunchtime

@Upsydaisy yes, exactly like Ludo. Lots of fun.

And it sounds like everyone has a non demanding day happening. I guess we all deserve a day that we can just slouch through as we have all been working so hard on gardens or home improvements and maintenance

Morining Lori, gosh rain...I've forgotten what rain was like, our lawn has turned a very becoming straw shade!!

I'm adjusting well to this slouching malarkey....could get quite use to it, mind you the heat gives us little option for anything else really.
I have however not been a total slouch, I've stripped the 2 beds ,ours and son+ girlfriend's and plugged in the hoover.....just have to summon up the energy to switch it on now.
