Thank you. I change depending on what is blooming at the moment so Plumbago and Hibiscus as the Jacaranda has finished ... but I may change it to Tecoma (Ginger Thomas) as it goes for months. Or sometimes it is me or the furries.

                  .....and a cooling breeze!!

                  Good morning everyone.:)

Another slouching day today, but first I have to admit that despite plugging in the vacuum cleaner yesterday I didn't get the energy to switch it on...so that is going to be my 1st of 3 jobs done today, 2nd is a thorough early morning watering of the whole garden. The 3rd is deadheading as I haven't really done that for a couple of days either. Then I can knuckle down to some serious slouching with a clear conscience :heehee:.

                  That's the plan!! :dbgrtmb:

Have a super day yourselves.......in the shade!!:blue thumb:

A lovely fresh start to the day here and if the breeze continues as forecast, it should be a nice day.

T'other has to take the car to our mechanic (nothing to do with the accident but ab old issue). The insurance company wanted him to go to their adjuster today but he has got that changed till Thursday. He's having a bad run with cars ... yesterday he took my car out for a run, push the button to put the passenger side window down, there was a snap and the window fell into the door!!! Another issue to deal with.

He wants to do another box of wall tiling today.

Pottering for me after cycling watering my seedlings.

                      Good day
I'm a bit late because I decided to get going on couple of small chores first.

@Upsydaisy thT is exactly what my yard looked like until I turned the sprinkler system on and then got free water. Still have some straw spots.

@Victoria that would be the controller arm. Sadly I also have window issues with my mustang but I believe it is electronic.

I've decided to turf the zulu warrior plant. Flowers aren't too bad but otherwise it is an ugly plant and therefore a waste of a pot.

I'm off to Costco soon and will tend to that when I get back.

                      Cheers :coffee:

Good morning.....phew back to nicer temps now.
The heat makes me feel so lethargic and I'm not one to sit doing nothing normally.
My foot on my dodgy leg became swollen after all in yesterday's heat...so I spoke to soon it seems.

Lori unfortunately that is the state of our lawn after some watering every few days!!
It's not advisable really to waste water on a lawn as it just deters the roots from growing down deeper in search for water, with watering they remain shallow and near the surface. We do try and hang back from watering for as long as possible but in the end we give in a little as we can't stand the ' straw look.:heehee:Thankfully lawns soon recover after a good downpour:blue thumb:

Not sure yet what our plans are for today as we haven't decided whether we go and see my brother today or tomorrow.. We still need to send off our old passports so a trip to the Post Office is also on our list of 'maybe's too.

Hope everyone enjoys a much more comfortable day.

It is lovely out there, sunny, breeze and cool at 19c.

Lori, I agree, the flower is pretty but I do not like the greenery.

Our Mechanic (well, he's not a Mechanic but the Manager of the Dealership but a friend of ours) brought T'other Half's car back and took mine to fix the electric window and will return it to us. The Dealership is just 5kms up the road.

T'other Half is meeting friend for lunch and I will just coast after cycling.

                            Good day
It is apparently cooler outside according to the remote thermometer but when I opened the door to go out and turn on the low flow system to water the pots, it immediately felt hotter and almost cloying it is that humid! It is quite pleasant inside but I really do prefer to have the windows open and the air steadily exchanging.

Yes, @Upsydaisy light watering does do more harm than good and that is why I put on the big sprinkler system (like golf courses) when watering the lawn. It thoroughly soaks each area with a massive amount of water. I only use the low flow irrigation for the raised gardens, and of course, all the pots.

I best get going here, it is a Hilda day and once my hair has dried, I've got some shopping to do.

                            Cheers :coffee:

                              Good morning!

It was a much nicer day yesterday, managed to get quite a few jobs done in the garden.

We we're forecast some heavy rain and thunder but sadly neither materialised. Still have 6 completely empty waterbutts .

We're off see my brother this morning which will be good, apparently there's still a couple of Covid cases in the complex...so we will avoid walking through the main building and go directly round to his patio door.

                              Have a really good day.

Bom Dia Grinning Cat.jpeg ... slept like a log last night, so wide awake ... cough!

It is nice out there (could be a few degrees cooler) but will get my seedlings/plantlets watered straight after my cycle. T'other Half does the big water in the evening when the sun goes down behind the house.

T'other Half goes to the Insurance Adjuster at 3pm today.

Upsy, hope the visit to R goes well ... and safely! xx
