WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE - 2022

No lower than 17°C overnight and currently my weather station (in a Stevenson screen and in the shade) is saying 30°C with an RH of 31%. There is a stiff breeze and it is making conditions quite pleasant if hot. The temperature sensor indoors is saying 28°C.

Thanks for asking @Victoria my wife's main hobby is loving me and being my best friend she's just wonderful but also loves card making; silk flowers; portrait drawing in fact anything that involves crafts and making our home a home.

Whatever your health problem was Victoria I truly hope you're better now; good health is everything.

I'm just the opposite; I reckon if I have to get out of bed very early and work hard to make someone else rich then at least I can get out of bed very early in my hard earned retirement to do as I please; we're all different though and I notice quite a lot of people who have only just retired around 65 years of age and dropped dead because all they had in their life was their job and no hobby; we have new neighbours who spend hours on their patio doing nothing; they say they're taking it easy now they're retired; they have a granddaughter and they call me "Always busy Colin" to her; I'm a bit miffed because it's too hot to get stuck into the new steps I'm creating in the garden; I'm 75 next month and still climb trees like a kid; a few weeks ago I ended up removing 15 very tall trees and disposing of them working in sleet and high wind doing the job on my own;


15 trees felled in two weeks often with sleet and high wind for company. Here the ground is soaking wet.
Just another job I did in removing an hedge; it took five full hard days to get this out.

I'm aware not everyone is like me but I've worked so hard for so many years it's now just natural to me and looking around I'm slimmer at 6' tall 10 stone and healthier than many half my age.

I'm the same @Michael Hewett once I'm awake I'm restless; I've always got to be busy and if I have a rest I feel lazy; life's for living to the full not being laid in bed letting precious time slip by but as I say we're all different; I love new challenges and have just created a home music studio in which to learn playing a violin; it's a lovely hobby.

I've rambled on because it's too hot outside to do anything but even here I'm still busy.

We are 28c with a light breeze. Guess we were fortunate down here because last Thursday Pinhao in Northern Portugal near the Spanish border hit 47c, a record high for Portugal. One of the big fires was there. It is in our snow region.

 

Three typhoons at an airshow?
Looks like that's the defence budget blown for this year then.

 

I never feel lazy, I can sit for ages and just daydream

Thermometer in the shade still reads 41 C and the garden is cooking

 

The weather station at Manston Airport 2 miles away is showing 34c.

Almost 40c in the shady summer house.

You could fry an Egg on the empty Water Butt in full Sun
