Light cloud at 22c, feels a bit fresher. Supposed to get thunder storms later, we need some rain.

              Hi,

Quite breezy here first thing and cooler outside than in; currently showing 21C on the computer but I'm wet with sweat having been doing a bit of grafting making a good start installing garden steps; I've had to quit for the day it's now too hot for such heavy work and I've heated up too much; normally I'd do such a job much quicker but I'm not used to anything over 10C; I'd forgotten how to turn our central heating off.:biggrin::biggrin:

              Kind regards, Colin.

It is 73f which is 4 degrees cooler than inside the house but when I opened the door, the humidity seems to be drowning the very oxygen in the air. So I shut the door and came back inside after a little watering in the raised beds and pots.

The guessers say we will have no problem reaching the mid 90's again this afternoon.

Really, a typical summer. We always seem to have one or two blistering weeks and then the rest is warm but quite pleasant. :)

After our mini heatwave, it would be interesting to know what kind of temperatures would be considered unusually high for you Lori.
Your temperatures seem to shoot up into the 90f mark fairly easy
And I know you have had over 100f earlier this year.

Another hot day only a couple of degrees down from yesterday. Feels muggy but RH is only 50%. Mind you - that is higher than it has been.

It is only a couple of times a year where we shoot up to the hundred mark. Usually a week in June, another in July and again sometimes in August. I like to be warm so for me, anything below 90f is good - as long as it cools off nicely at night. If it is day and night hot - like during this present heatwave, I get a little miserable. That said, I got my chain sawing and the cleanup following that, done this morning before it got above 87f so I felt that I beat the heat :dbgrtmb: Now I'm eyeing another big branch that could be done without... :heehee:

Well I'm sitting in the shade where I was yesterday and a while back the wind gusted and I thought it was feeling really cool, had a look at the thermometer and its 28c certainly doesn't feel like it.

                              Hi,

I must be barking mad but they do say mad dogs etc.I've just collected 6 bags of building sand and 2 bags cement from Wickes; car showed 25.5C which is scorching for us so I'm wet with sweat again. Parking at Wickes and collecting the cart I was met at the entrance by a staff member apologizing saying cash only; with my usual bad luck I'm prepared for such silliness; I had my debit card and cash on me. trundling the cart with 8 bags bags on it in this heat I don't regard as fun.

A couple of days ago I received an email from an old school friend asking me to get in touch ASAP; I sent a short email asking what's going on and the reply was to ask a favour; she was trying to get 2 x Amazon gift cards at £100 each but was having a problem could I get them for her and scratch off to reveal the bank code; copy them and send the codes to her she'd be happy to send me the money.

I've just returned home to another email reply asking if I received her email; as she's such a good friend I think I'll ask her if £200 is enough after all friends help each other out.

                              Kind regards, Colin.
