Regardless of what people think about Boris, I think it's a shame they chose this moment in history to force him out. Right when Putin and his cronies really needed a chance to point out how disorganised and divided we are

Boris is an idiot, I said from the start he was, and he's proved it.
He should have been sitting pretty with the majority he had and he's blown it by giving the other side every last bit of ammunition they needed.

What a waste, he could have done big things but he's thrown it away by his own stupidity.

Boris is going and you're already having a go at the two front runners for the hot seat Pete. How does any prime minister stand a chance with that kind of thinking? As I said before, it's only a matter of time before the mud slinging starts all over again.

I agree, I also said earlier that the opposition have been pushing to get Boris out for months, they will now be saing the new PM has not been elected and we need a general election.

But how did we get in this position?
By Boris being a complete idiot and lying through his teeth all the time.
So now he's blown it he's left us in this position with these two candidates that the Tory party are going to vote on.
I would have preferred Boris to go on but he left himself wide open for criticism.

One good thing that comes out of the demise of a prime minister is that it really brings out the optimism and positivity in people. Everyone gets excited that maybe the next one will be better.

I notice some Baroness has been put in charge of looking into how the government handled the covid problem.
I hope this Baroness is a bit more useful that the one they put in charge of test and trace.

Sounds like jobs for the girls.
What do they have to do in order to get these titles and does it mean they are really clever people.

To what end? Why are we shelling out for an inquiry into how this government handled an unprecedented event?

It wasn't unprecedented. That's just what the government kept telling us to excuse their ineptitude.

In relatively recent times, there was Spanish flu, and then more recently, as in living memory, Asian flu. Not to mention smaller outbreaks like swine flu, SARS, and MERS.

I hope the inquiry asks, why did the government ignore the advice that came from many credible sources, well in advance, that warned the biggest threat to UK national security and economy was a viral pandemic.

The rate of inflation has now hit the same high percentage that came about during Pierre Trudeau's time as P.M. . His son Justin has definitely followed in the old man's foot steps.

Joe Biden is begging oil from Saudi. When he came into power he immediately shut down the XL pipeline from our Alberta because ??

That's my grumbling for the day

That should read, why did governments all around the world ignore the advice.;)

I think a few other countries had the odd problem with covid as well as us.
So pointless inquiry, but it gives someone a job.

Indeed all other countries had the same problem. But would it be right for the UK, that keeps telling the world how great it is, leaves it to someone else to investigate?

I think people, especially those that lost someone, deserve to know if the government did everything they could based on the best available advice.
