I love Sesbania, there is a row of them in Silves, and those Canna are gorgeous.

I've not grown Sesbania since the last time you sent me seeds, must be 10yrs or more, but these came up in a mixed packet I bought from Chilterns last year.

I never had success ... and think I may still have some. :rolleyespink: I am thinking of sprinkling lots of old seed I have along the verges ... or even edges of the orchards. :heehee:

One of the few things doing well this year are the squash 'Crown Prince'. It's officially a winter squash but they're coming along nicely.

This isn't looking good in the garden but is looking good from the garden. The farmer raped his field yesterday. :heehee: We're pleased with that as it was a bit smelly and it may have reduced the chance of a nasty fire.

Goodness, how did I miss this post!!! Gorgeous Pete. How old is the Adenium. it is stunning. I have my first one going, only a babe, and another winging its way to me from Spain.
For some reason, the Iochroma australe blue died back to the ground this week. :yikes: I am hoping it will recuperate from the root. I don't know if it was too wet in this heat or if it was just the heat. Any thoughts?

I grew the Adenium from seed about 15 or so years ago.

                How old was the Iochroma?
If it was young I have a feeling it might have died.
If it had a woody base it could come back but seems odd to die down or did it just drop it's leaves.

I don't know. I bought it from Germany and it was about 30cm tall. It was dry when it arrived and all the leaves died and dropped ... then the stem died so I kept snipping it back but no green. Then there was two tiny leaves sprouted from the base ... then they disappeared two days ago. I have some seeds coming now. Are they quick growers?

Yes pretty quick, probably more so where you are.
Sounds like it had a bad start.
It self sows even here so should be easy where you are.

Good ending though ... I have just been refunded 19,50 Euros which includes postage. And maybe the plant will survive.

Is it just me or is there something just a tad awkward-ish around the spelling department...?
