A lot of green creating shade ...

There are another six buds on this six-month old (from rooting) Brugmansia ...

    The Alstroemeria is surviving ...

A near death Pentas has revived and blooming ...

The six month old cutting of a Brugmansia has opened the six blooms this morning ... it already had three blooms last month.

First bloom this year of HibisQs 'Petit Sunrise'. This is a new compact variety which I bought in October 2020 and have had difficulty with it nearly losing it completely last year. Hopefully it continues to flourish.

I had T'other Half chop the Iochroma by a good third this morning as it was tall an straggly, also the lower fronds of the Jacaranda and the Myrtus 'Tarentina' hedge ...

Hi Vicky,..that Brug has come along fantastic,..huge blooms,..wish we could grow them here,..there is a species that will grow here though in summer though needs taking inside come Autumn.

Your Alstroemeria is more attractive than mine and stands more upright :love30:

Ha, ha! I lost half of it where you just see soil and my dark red one looks dead as a dodo but I haven't given up on it.

It is probably the Red Brugmansia that would work for you. When I bought my original one, the label showed it to be the red one but turned out to be the 'Charles Grimaldi'.

:heehee: That is the sun coming through, South facing. An optical illusion I am afraid. They are plain cane blinds! Does look neat though.

We have a disaster with the cladding tiles facing the garden. T'other Half was positioning the lights when he noticed a different shade of colour in the tiles. He went to the DIY store to complain as they had loaded the tiles. They would not do anything as he did not produce the empty boxes (of which he does have two!). So he will have to remove the right hand side and replace. He is complaining to Head Office as it has cost us an additional 175 Euros and will enter in the in-store Complaints Book ... which is bad news for the recipient here! Also, we prefer the right-hand ones which have to be removed!

PS I have come up with a clever idea for the ones that have to be removed. :ideaIPB:

Hi Vicky,..looking at the images one would hardly notice,..thinking it was shade,..however standing in front you would both spot the difference,..curious to see what you will do with the ones to be removed  :)

On the Dining Patio side there is a step down from The Baffa, which was never finished 17 years ago! :rolleyespink: I have suggested the tiles which are removed finish the step off. There is also an unfinished step across the path to the front of house patio.

It's good that you've come up with an idea to use the 'wrong' tiles, it would have been a shame to waste them.
