    I think the dahlias will be completely dead by then poor things.

            Yes I can see your photos, that's the easy bit!

            The difficult bit is what's wrong. Is the hosta in full sun all day? Most hostas prefer shade and looking at yours makes me wonder if the sun has bleached them.

            The dahlia looks very spindly is it newly planted or from last year's tubers?

            I am not sure about the lupins they might recover but you won't see flowers this year as it looks like the main stems are chopped off.

            I am wondering if it's too much fertiliser in the bigger bed, how much has been applied?

              The Dahlia is the only one I cant understand.
              They do like lots of water to do well.

              Rose probably has black spot, (dont they all) not keen on roses.:mute:

              Lupin, been chopped back within an inch of its life.;)

              Hosta, a few holes, they tend to look ragged in hot summers, but it actually looks reasonable.

                  Think you might be over feeding, Sulphur spray might help on the rose, perhaps.

                  Feeding plants that are not doing well is not always the way to go.

                  Things like lupins need very little feeding when growing in decent soil.

                    I tend to agree with pete they might be over fertilised, I am sure that the Dahlia has too much nitrogen making it so spindly. I would hold off any more feed and keep them well watered.
