Upsy, love that pic. I must look for some new ones.

Van was naughty staying out till 11 last night shouting in the orchard across the lane Funny how you can tell each of their voices. When he came home he just hunkered down on the bench outside the kitchen door in The Courtyard but came in as soon as he was told. Maybe he's not let out after dinner tonight. Munch doesn't bother, having had enough of the hot day earlier.

It has been Grand Central Station out there since 6am, tractors, spraying orchards (different farm) cars, roosters, doves/birds, dogs ... life in the country "vida no campo".

Don't think anything is planned today.

Good morning Vicky, thanks ,yes I spend ages ..or so it seems, in the evening scouring the internet for pics that hopefully I haven't used before...it's not always so though. :heehee:

Gosh sounds like you were woken by a right old dawn chorus!!

We get the all the bird sounds, especially the noisy Cockerels!!. We also have over excited dogs enjoying their early morning walks too.

          Have a lovely relaxing day.xx

Bella wouldn't come in last night until something past 11. It was raining and she was sitting under a cold frame in the garden (it's raised on some bricks because of my bad back) She was enjoying herself while I wanted to close the door and go to bed.
(There's no cat flap at the moment because of building work in progress)
I went down there a few times to call her in but she just looked at me as if to say "What are you doing down here at this time of night ?" :cat-kittyandsmiley:

You too Upsy. But I wouldn't change where you or I live for anything! :nonofinger:
Michael ... maybe there was something in the air?

Another tractor is tractoring and both Furries are in at the moment. I will go out and look at my flora babes in a moment and give them a drink before it gets unbearable/uncomfortable.

There's no telling with Bella, she lives in a world of her own :noidea:
It's still raining this morning and she's gone out, maybe to sit under the same cold frame or in that plastic crate in the perspex shelter ...
                  Your two have some sense.

                    Good day
It is bright and sunny and we had a lovely heavy downpour last night. Loads of free water and the plants and grass are happy. And it sounds as though everyone here has already been busy for hours. I feel like a lazy lout!

I had a great time with my son, Jim, his other half and the granddaughters yesterday. He barbecued the burgers for me and we got the birthday girl to slice/serve her cake which means I didn't do much but enjoy. :) There were some heartbreaking moments because they don't want to live with mom and didn't want to go home so it was delicate trying to explain that all had to be done legally so as not to cause additional stress on the girls. We also found out :yikes::yikes::yikes: that Family and Children's Services has been involved in their household because of problems in the recent past so my son called them and asked them what to do to help. They will get back to him this week. I'm working on more papers and will try to get a motion added to the September 1st court session which we are already attending due to the access issues. Sounds, and is sad BUT, I know we can battle through this and give the girls a happy secure home. :dbgrtmb:

I've got a sales rep coming by this morning for a brief demo- just showing me the new style of motorization they are now incorporating into shades. He is a pleasant fellow so I'll make sure to offer him a cuppa and a non business chit chat.

                    Cheers all :coffee:

Good morning everyone, how are you all today?

Glad you had a lovely time with your family Lori.
The trauma can run deep in children when their parents relationships breakdown creating a somewhat hostile situation, it's good to involve the Family & Children's Services .:) I worked with several children that found themselves the exact same situation.
                      Very sad indeed.

Had a super afternoon with my little cheeky chappie of a great nephew....he just makes you laugh non-stop, he's utterly adorable and I love him to bits.:imphrt::wub2:

I did a bit of watering in the evening and have more to do this morning, rain is still nowhere to be seen on our long term forecasts.

I hope you all have a lovely day.

How lovely. When we moved here we were surrounded by cattle too as our neighbours use to run it as a dairy farm. Now normally it's horses, when we go back to having green grass that actually grows that is !!
Hubs said yesterday that he's only had to mow our lawns about 3 times this year....unheard of in the past!!:yikes: It's just not growing at all!!

Obviously this is extremely bad news for all the grazing livestock down here.:sad:

                                Good day
It is slightly overcast and at the moment only 58f 13c. I have all of the windows wide open to gulp in the cool air before the heat that the guessers say will be hitting us this afternoon.

I have court papers to prepare which will be a pleasure because I managed to get the court to agree to hear two motions this coming September 1st. So two motions, and two sets of affidavits, confirmations, etc etc to prepare.

Early this afternoon I will be attending a visitation. One of my friend's mother passed away at the good old age of 102. It is in Toronto and I really dislike driving into Toronto but needs be. I'm disappointed that our other mutual friends are opting to just send a sympathy email. What is happening to people's manners! (Edit: and I had joy in finding that I still have a pair of hose without a ladder in them to go with my funeral uniform :) )

And in between, I will try to get some puttering about and watering done. The pots will get special attention before the heat of the day.

                                Cheers :coffee:
