The cloud finally went away and we reached 26c with a lovely breeze. Perfect.

      Hi,

Lovely picture again @wiseowl. Thanks for asking; yes I'm fine but tired out and too tired to complain today. Mad dogs etc and I sure am mad and also an Englishman working flat out in the hot sun.

      New posts_0003.JPG
A scorching hot day so why not add to it by burning post bottoms then wrapping in heavy gauge polythene.
      New posts_0004.JPG
To finish off with handrail and trimming using chainsaw.
      New posts_0005.JPG
Same here with the new steps ready for finishing off.

No gain without pain so I feel the pain at the moment. I'd much rather be taking your pictures @wiseowl  Concrete to mix tomorrow which I'm eagerly looking forward to and another scorching day forecast. I couldn't care less; this job is going to be completed.

      Kind regards, Colin.

A lovely day but still with the annoying wind. At least today it was pleasantly cooling. The day started off sunny and reached 23°C by about late morning but after lunch, we got high clouds and the temperature dropped back slightly, getting up to 22°C again later in the afternoon.

          @Retired ;):smile:

In tropical climes there are certain times of day
          When all the citizens retire
To tear their clothes off and persprie.
It's one of those rules that the greatest fools obey,
Because the sun is much too sultry
And one must avoid its ultry-violet ray.
The native grieve when the white men leave their huts,
          Because they're obviously definitely nuts!
          Mad dogs and Englishmen
Go out in the midday sun,
          The Japanese don't care to.
          The Chinese wouldn't dare to,
Hindoos and Argentines sleep firmly from twelve to one.
          But Englishmen detest a siesta.
          In the Philippines
          There are lovely screens
To protect you from the glare.
          In the Malay States
          There are hats like plates
          Which the Britishers won't wear.
          At twelve noon
          The natives swoon
And no further work is done.
          But mad dogs and Englishmen
Go out in the midday sun.
It's such a surprise for the Eastern eyes to see
That though the English are effete,
          They're quite impervious to heat,
When the white man rides every native hides in glee,
Because the simple creatures hope he
Will impale his solar topee on a tree.
          It seems such a shame
          When the English claim
          The earth
That they give rise to such hilarity and mirth.
          Mad dogs and Englishmen
Go out in the midday sun.
          The toughest Burmese bandit
          Can never understand it.
In Rangoon the heat of noon
Is just what the natives shun.
They put their Scotch or Rye down
          And lie down.
          In a jungle town
          Where the sun beats down
To the rage of man and beast
          The English garb
          Of the English sahib
Merely gets a bit more creased.
          In Bangkok
          At twelve o'clock
They foam at the mouth and run,
          But mad dogs and Englishmen
Go out in the midday sun.
          Mad dogs and Englishmen
Go out in the midday sun.
          The smallest Malay rabbit
          Deplores this foolish habit.
          In Hongkong
          They strike a gong
And fire off a noonday gun
          To reprimand each inmate
          Who's in late.
          In the mangrove swamps
          Where the python romps
There is peace from twelve till two.
          Even caribous
          Lie around and snooze;
For there's nothing else to do.
          In Bengal
          To move at all
          Is seldom, if ever done.

It's another lovely evening, at 8pm it's still 24c and sunny.

Here it was another very warm day! A lovely morning with practically no clouds till around lunchtime. Around lunchtime the clouds started bubbling up but never hid the sun. Now that the sun has gone down the sky is more or less clear again.

Tomorrow & the rest of the week is expected to be a Spanish week, i.e, lots of hot sunshine & no rain! Who needs to spend money going abroad when the very best of the heat & sun can be found at home!:hapydancsmil::hapfeet::biggrin:
