I remember reading that. I think it would be safe in a pot. :heehee:

You want jam on it, don't you? :roflol: I haven't detected any scent so it fits in the Dipladenia/Pandorea/Podranea category.....beautiful but soulless :)

That's an exaggeration! I germinated them last year and they've put on about 50cm so far this summer. That's with regular, generous watering and a splash of Miracle-Gro. So grown in pots, they're not badly-behaved at all :)

Grand mariner started to bloom just before we went away for a week so have missed it's peak. Today:

Okay, so it is at droopy stage, but still nice. Is it scented? The garden looks great with the heat.

It was really droopy when I got home, it's reviving now I've drenched it but very lop sided.

Thevetia peruviana is blooming non-stop with the heat, always give or take a dozen blooms ...

Thank you Michael. I have two. My sister started them from seed she got in Florida for me in Germany c2007. They were in matching concrete tubs on either corner of the front raised patio. However, the other one got shaded by a Jacaranda and Iochroma and didn't like it and lost all its leaves, so we moved it to The Courtyard hothouse. I have put a Photinia 'Red Robin' in the concrete pot. Here it is in 2008 ...

I must get them underplanted better next year.

It's nice you've had them such a long time and started by your sister too, that's very special. They must mean a lot to you.
I don't mind it not being underplanted, the branches look rather architectural.

I grew some Thevetia years ago, I think it has Yellow Oleander as a nickname.

Tillandsia usneoides (Spanish Moss) has it's first flower. A real show stopper!

Yes, it is but mine in the Peach coloured variety.

I lived where Spanish Moss was everywhere (South Carolina) but we are too dry for it here.
