Hi @Logan , mine are in quite poor and constricted spot so not invasive. I haven't seen any self seeded plantlets so far.

I started with 4 Wilko's corms 4 years ago and now have a sizable clump that flowers very well. Echinops does well in poor conditions, even in containers regardless that they root deeply.

They also make fun dried flowers for the winter.

Echinops are loved by bees, and me :)

I've not taken many pictures recently, partly because there's not much to take with the drought and partly because I'm having trouble with the camera.

We're keeping the pots on the patio, nursery areas and in the greenhouse watered and moving more than usual off to the charity garden centre so they can look after them.

Cosmos on the patio are doing well and the bees and other buzzies are everywhere

We've sold about a dozen of Hostas from our Hosta nursery and haven't yet closed up the gaps

Although there aren't any bees in this shot the flowers of this mint are the most popular

We have loads of Verbena that seed themselves in the edges around the patio and lawn and we are always potting up seedlings for sale and to go to the charity garden centre

Amongst the profusion of plants in the greenhouse we have many succulents and related species that have been in there for over 40 years. Some just sit there and a lot are used for propagation for the garden centre and for flower arrangers

Some random shots in the greenhouse and on the patio where she has put them out to enjoy the weather

These are just babies that tend to break off from the overgrown pots and get stuck into the nearest container until there is time to do something with them. Garden life here is hectic and we have a lot of roundtuits :heehee:

You can see a lot of overcrowded bowls and on the right of the picture we have just grabbed the nearest container (had held chicken wings) for a temporary home that is an order from someone. They will look better presented when we give it to her

We also have alot of them in our garden too.
I grew all ours from seeds many years ago. They can self seed quite freely too so beware! Keep on top of deadheading before the seeds disperse.:blue thumb: 20220725_171308.jpg

                      @Victoria

They're both from the same plant. They are pink/purple in flower and go blue as they go over. It produces new flowers every day and needs regular deadheading.

The name on the label said Purple Hibiscus :heehee:. Typical of a £1.50 plant from Aldi.

I've just taken some more photos - before deadheading.

Bees love them. We let them go right over, as in this photo, as the bees will work on them until they close up.

Wish ours got such in! Just beautiful. They are self cleaning ... would it not be easier to rake from underneath occasionally.

@Victoria I've done some research and the Hibiscus is Ardens. :blue thumb:

Too many things underneath to rake as there is no room for a rake. :noidea: :)
