    Hello everyone.:gmorning:

Hope you're all looking forward to a lovely relaxing weekend.
We haven't got much on our agenda, so plans are for relaxing and doing a bit of research into what I plan to add to our borders for next summer.

I love the planning bit...may not always go accordingly....but I can dream.:)

I'm making notes of what didn't like the heatwave so as to avoid them next year or rethink a better environment for them. In my ideal garden along with all the existing shrubs I would just have Dahlias, hardy Fuchsias and Cosmos for an easy summer garden...oh and Verbena Bonariensis.:blue thumb:

But would I really enjoy it being that easy......that's the big question. I think I know the answer, in my dreams.✓, in reality x.:roflol:

Hey no ....I will ponder on.....

    Have a brilliant day folks.

    :spinning:

Hope it clears soon @Flumpy , if it's just a straightforward ear infection it should with the antibiotics. Our eldest suffer badly with his ears during his childhood , until his late teens in fact and had a horrid time bless him, he also suffered from perforated ear drums, have they checked you for that it could be with those symptoms....I hope it isn't.:fingers crossed: Until you're certain to be on the safe side don't get any water in your ear.:nonofinger:

Our son suffered from so many he has permanently damaged ears and hearing loss now.

      Take care.:grphg: xx

It is starting off with 22c so going to be a hot one. We got to nearly 35c yesterday, too hot for me.

We have friends coming over this afternoon. She has spent a lot of time in the UK this year getting their daughter in an equestrian school and have settled on one in Hampshire and they go back next week. So, lots of catching up.

Flumpy, I wondered where you were and sorry to hear of your ear infection. :fingers crossed: for a speedy recovery. Noe it is just the waiting game for J and me and results.

        Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Upsydaisy, yes the Dr had a good look and said my ear drum was bulging and looked very sore, she was to see me again in September to see how it’s going on, it was perforated in 2018 and my other ear I had a polyp removed off my ear drum and also Gromits put in as I had fluid trapped behind my eardrums when I was little, so I know what your son went through and still do, we must have narrow passageways. Just got back from the hairdressers but now I’ve got a banging headache again , I’m drinking plenty so it’s not that, more rest I think :noidea:

            Good day
            Late late Lori!

It's been a busy day starting when my feet hit the floor this morning.

@Flumpy I too hope the antibiotics do a quick and thorough job!

While the granddaughters were laying in I got all the laundry done, adjusted the sprinkler heads, collected seeds, made a nice little cap sleeve top, and did some cooking on the barbecue. When they got up at 1 o'clock, they had fresh waffles with maple syrup. And I haven't seen them since.

While I was chatting with a neighbour, I did see the one who lives just around the corner, walk down the street so I presume she's gone for fresh outfits and the other must be up in the shower seeing how long the water heater can keep up :heehee:

I'm on my last cuppa for the day now.

            Cheers :coffee:

Hope the rest of your day went well.

It was hot here but we got caught up with lots of goings on . :dbgrtmb: Although Caroline is 20 years younger than me, we communicate mentally. ;) Hubby Steve is our age (and has two 30 year old daughters we have met) and a lovely guy ... we are just not fond of their daughter., now aged 16. What daughter wants, daughter gets! You wouldn't believe the bribes!!! We always have a great visit and always laugh so much. Caroline goes back to the UK on Thursday with the daughter whilst she settles into her new school. :frown:

                Good morning everyone.,

I got hit by another wave of extreme exhaustion yesterday afternoon...it just seems to appear suddenly and ..whack!....I'm out for the rest of the day. :noidea:

I was once again in bed by 9pm never woke when hubs came up and slept right through without waking at all until hubs came in with my breakfast at 7am!!

I still don't feel particularly energetic even now...I must give myself a good shakeup and get motivated!..or a black coffee that's so strong you could stand a spoon up in it.:coffee:
No idea yet about today's plans...if indeed any at all. We'll see how things pan out.

Glad you had a lovely catch- up session with your friends Vicky. Sadly you find that usually happens when a 'baby' appears after a long gap ( or due to a different relationship), we have the same situation here too, a friend of 30+ years has 3 children same ages as ours..mid 30s. She and her then husband parted company and she eventually remarried, they now have a daughter in her early 20s.....oh my goodness...I'll best say no more.:mute:

                Have a restful Sunday everybody.

It is a glorious start to the day albeit very gusty but lovely and fresh. Our high heat warning has been extended along with a warning to be cautious doing anything outdoors.

It is good you are sleeping so well Upsy ... your system obviously needs the rest. I have slept well these past three nights too.

I meant Steve's daughters are mid 30s not 30. It is funny, Caroline didn't want a child, then did and she pampers this one, really OTT.

A calm day here just enjoying the day.

                        Good day
We had a lovely heavy rain last night and it is fresh and cool this morning.

The girls will probably lay in again. As soon as they've had breakfast, they get up and go out. None of this sitting about with phone glued to their hands. That's what I meant by "haven't seen them since". It is great that they go on long walks and aren't waiting to be entertained. :dbgrtmb:

I'm watching the recorded version I have of Corrie because I want to see it all by 9:30 this morning when a "new" old detective series airs. It is called "Rebus". I'm now getting used to the accents so am picking up most of the dialogue :heehee:

                        Cheers :coffee:

                            Morning Vicky, Flumpy and Lori.

It's still lovely and sunny here too:SUNsmile:

I've literally just woken up, hubs has brought up a cup of tea. I think I only woke because a bonfire has been lit somewhere and it stinks and as all our windows and doors are open..so does our entire house now.

It's now just gone midday and I've been sleeping (woke for breakfast ) over 15 hours...unheard of and I could easily continue too :snooze::snooze:but I will get up and go downstairs in a minute..I must make myself. I can hear hubs preparing our dinner, so as usual we will eat outside and perhaps I'll wake up a bit.
I think my sugar levels dipped again as I just needed and craved for a biscuit or square of chocolate with my tea just now too.

Most weird, something is out of kilt.

                            Keep enjoying you day.

                                Good morning .

I finally made it downstairs by 1pm yesterday with strict instructions not to do anything. I managed to last until 10pm...I was about to say it was an improvement but then realised just how short my day was.
I don't feel quite so shattered ...just very tired . I have a friend coming over today so that will spur me on to give myself a wake up shake.

                                Have a good day.
