I recycled them pete  when we swapped to wheely bins. The council said to leave them out for the bin men so rather than landfill I kept mine and one or two neighbour's ;)

I have about six of them down the allotment, they were left by the previous plot holder. Very handy things, I think mine hold about 65 litres, so 15 gallons or so

Sadly, the white fly decimated my super hots. I've cut them off at the the soil level and will sanitize the soil and pots once they have completely dried out.

The Shiney hybrids came through the battle and since they are in a different greenhouse, they didn't get reintroduced to the little white #^/_&;&*!!!.

Recycle bins. I have extra green wheelie bins to hold all of my small items tnat would normally be stored in a shed.

One of my locotos has died, or at least all the leaves have fallen off. Any ideas why that might happen? The rest are fine IMG_20220821_144057544_HDR.jpg

Has that happened suddenly @Hanglow ? I'm wondering if a mollusc has nibbled the stem? Any sign of bugs under the leaves or discolouring?

The stem is fine, the leaves turned pale green then fell off. No bugs that I can see. I was wondering if someone was using weed killer nearby, but nothing else close by seems to be affected. Still if those chillis ripen then I won't be too bothered

If it was weed killer would it have affected all your other chillies, assuming they are all together?

Depending on the type used, weedkiller usually has the effect of making the plant go all distorted or the leaves all brown and crispy.

You had a pretty good crop on that one plant.

It's on its own on the corner of a bed by some spring onions, no other nightshade plants near by. The compost in the pot was the cheapest one I bought, but it has been fine for a couple of months so I don't think it is that. You are right it has cropped well, already taken about ten ripe peppers from it. Small pot too, maybe 3 litres

When you have harvested the crop you could look carefully at the roots to see whether any nasty may have got at them.

It has maybe exhausted itself in such a small container and produced so much fruit.

Earlier in the year I had white fly attack my chillies/pepper plants, I sprayed them with a mix of water and washing up liquid for a few days and the white fly were gone. Over the coming weeks some of the leaves were clearly dying and I nipped them off and new leaves started to appear, then flowers too, I now have healthy plants, good crops(that don't taste of Fairy), if you look at my videos on the "greenhouse growing" section you will see the plants and fruits. Hope his helps.

My Hungarian Hot Wax vary in hotness levels, the red ones have been mild. Had a green one yesterday that was very hot I always thought all chillies got hotter as they ripened?

Never really had a hot "Hot Wax", I eat them at all colours and haven't really noticed any difference if I think about it. I tend to have them sliced on a french bread pizza of in soups or chillies with pasta, so perhaps I've not experienced the real kick as I've cooked them.

                                Hello all,

Busy day. Harvested 5kg of tomatoes and a fair selection of chilis. The freezer is full and so it was time to put the new dehydrater into action as I didn't want to give them all away.
