It is grey here this morning but I am sure the sun will soon find its way . Makes a lovely change from being blinded in the eyes.

I imagine J will get a few things done on The Baffa. He has been sanding down and staining the French doors to the dining patio.

:heehee:We moved in together three weeks after we met on Christmas Day, then four months later we got up and he said "let's get married today" so we did! That was more than 54 years ago. The thing is, in Alabama you had to have a blood test but we had that as a "just in case scenario". His mother went with us to The Registry Office as he was too young to get married ... he was 18, I was 20 (actually it was my birthday. Boys had to be 21, girls 18.
I love that split pub Michael! :loll:

    Have a great day everyone.

No, my Mother died when I was seven, my Father was in Arizona and my Sister was in Germany. So, only my lovely Mother-in-Law in attendance as my Father-in-Law couldn't get off work but we four had a lovely dinner at their home that evening. I adored my in-laws. My Father met J several years after we married, same with my Sister. I wasn't into big weddings and having one would not have made our marriage last as long than it has. Our family has always been our cats. We gave each other a black kitten when we married, T and Taffy.

Aawe sorry your mother passed so young Vicky that must of been so hard, sounds like you made your wedding how you wanted it, I love how you bought each other a black cat, my parents bought a black cat when I was born and called her sapphire, she lived into my teens….lovely cat :wub2:

                Good day
It is brilliantly sunny again and since we've had so much rain these past few nights, the sun is most welcome. It is 64f 16c? and the guessers say it is going up to the mid 80's this afternoon. With a possibility of thunderstorms. :)

I think I'm going to tackle the one corner at the back of the yard today. The two concrete slabs there need to be spun 90 degrees and then one on top of the other. Then I can move forward with building a stand for the 4 solar panels currently mounted up against the fence. It is the first step in a fairly large project. That I am anxious to finish before the snow flies.

Sounds like everyone is having a pleasant day without any personal discomforts which is lovely to hear :dbgrtmb:

                Cheers :coffee:

This is the area where no 1 son lives and no 3 also has the same forecast too.

                          animated-flower-image-0020.gif Good morning.

So pleased you finally got some rain Upsy. No chance here for a long time so looking forward to a wet winter.

Hope all was well with R yesterday Upsy.

J will continue facing The Baffa today and I will enjoy the fresh air whilst tending to my seedlings. As of yesterday I had 10 out of 11 Adenium sprout so I shall be talking to that last one today. I only have two Plumeria out of six.

Trust you are enjoying your week off Flumpy ... or are you rained out?

                          Hello Lori and Michael.

Morning Vicky, yes we're well chuffed! It's quite surprising how after a, relatively short albeit heavy, downpour the garden and surrounding fields look so rejuvenated already.:hapydancsmil:

R was his normal self thanks. Left us as usual to go for his dinner at 11:46 ( dinner is any time between 12- 2pm). So we sat in his apartment for 35mins alone before leaving for our bus home......that's the way it will always be on our visits, just have to accept it as mornings are better for bus times and I definitely don't want to be changing buses mid journey in Winter. We've all tried explaining to him that he's free to go to the restaurant for his meal ANYTIME between 12 & 2 pm and it's only across the courtyard from his place. Hey ho..nevermind.:noidea:

Hope all is well with you , J and of course not forgetting the adorable Furballs.
                            Brilliant germination results..well done:dbgrtmb:

Hi all, it’s grey but dry here, we had lots of rain last night though. The electrician let us down again, he rang Monday to say he had all the outdoor camera (2) to fit this Thursday morning, said he would be here early, rang at 8.30 to tell us he’s not got all the parts and can he come Monday instead  my hubby was fuming, so now we have carpet fitters and electrician if he turns up all in the house Monday morning, he’s good at the job but very unreliable. So we are going to the garden centre then Carvery for tea mmmm :spinning:.

Upsydaisy, sooo glad you got rain finally, I bet your plants are having a water party :heehee: :ccheers:

                                Morning Flumpy.
Are you having home security rigged up? We changed all ours in January ( a surprise and rather expensive Xmas gift from our brood).

We have 3 outdoor cameras and all downstair rooms have indoor ones. All outside doors ( including garage) have sensors and all ground floor windows have sensors and glassbreak sensors ( including garage). The package includes direct links to all emergency services and panic button fobs that we each carry + fire, smoke and water sensors. Had a few initial teething issues....mostly down to user errors!! :oopss:
Glad we did really as we got to be reassured by their responses...we got phone calls within 2minutes!

We've been broken into twice in the past ( no security was in place) and had our car stolen when we first moved in 40yrs ago. Sounds worse than it is, our crime rate is low in general...we are just too much of a temptation living in a quiet, secluded place with no streetlights.
We thank our brood as they did the research and compared to our ancient Yale alarms this new technology was bewildering at first but nevertheless amazing and has given us true peace of mind now.

Yours will undoubtedly do the same too:dbgrtmb:
