Vicky, getting back to water, that’s what I don’t understand here, we have hose pipe bans but the car washes are still working  , your rules sound better :)

        Good day
Heavens, I feel like the day is half over after reading all of the above posts! We haven't had any restrictions on watering this year. I'm guessing because the builders are being forced to install more and more reservoirs as they develop new suburbs.

Lovely dresses @Flumpy . Am I right in assuming the dresses are being custom sewn for you?

@Upsydaisy I'm beginning to think that steady heat makes you droopy so I hope this refreshing weather infiltrates you and not just your garden!

Gosh, I am glad to hear that the baffa is nearing the finish of your reno, including the climate control. It's been a long process for you!

And hello everyone else. I hope you are all enjoying your day.

It is cloudy here and fairly cool. The guessers are again calling for thunderstorms as I look out at the dry streets. I'm beginning to think these people believe if they keep calling, maybe one of these times they'll get an answer! :heehee:

I've got a bit more tidying to do outside this morning and before the prophesied rain, so I'll be getting my Hilda hair do now and getting my behind out there! I've got my wine appointment this afternoon and will get the rest of my grocery shopping done this afternoon and then I can stay away from the shops all weekend. :)

        Cheers :coffee:

You can wash your car using a bucket. Car washes are a business so obviously they can carry on. Staff have to man them and work there, so if they had to close they would lose they wages. That would not be right at all, especially with the rising cost of living.

                      Good morning.

Beautifully sunny start to our day again .

Just off to to the cemetery with flowers for Dad as it would've been his 97th birthday today. Must also place a flower in the Donna statue too to mark the occasion.

                      Have a lovely day.

It is a lovely fresh start but heading for 30c ... I will be so glad when August is behind us.

Got my MRI Report last night. It is all gobbledegook to me but I think I am alive! Will get an appointment with the Neurologist later.

Lori, it will be 2023 before The Baffa is finished according to J. Today he will finish the Dining Patio awning. Then finish the French door staining. Then there is the orchard side awning. Then the tiling on the inside wall Orchard side which came off with the damp coming in the rotten windows. There is no finished ceiling only the underside of the roof. Then there is the inside wall to be stripped and painted. Then the dozen solar panels have to be re-installed which is costing us 25-30 Euros a month.

You can see tiles off wall here, no facia to left and no ceiling ...

On the plus side, being in a hot dry country it is usable now with a leak-proof roof.
