What are these….(the first one is a nightmare weed-any tips to get rid??)

    Is the first one ground elder?

    Said to be very difficult to remove as the underground stems are fairly extensive and each piece needs to be dug out if you want to stop it from growing back. I think I recognise some of the others as well so if you posted them with numbers next to the photo of each one it might be easier to link the photo number to an ID.

      Ground elder, yes. Several treatments with Glyphosate might get rid of it as long as next-door neighbours control it too. Can be treated even when it's in amongst other plants by putting a plant pot with it's base cut out over the GE and spraying carefully into the pot.
      The other plants, well, you've got a single-flowered rose, Potentilla 'Monarch's Velvet', a purple Salvia, Indigofera, Sedum and an Achillea. The bright blue is Hibiscus syriacus and the silver one looks like Salvia farinacea.

        Thank you I might take a cutting of that single rose next time. Not seen one that vivid a orange .
