Can't say I've heard of Leylandii spreading disease to fruit trees. The other pear looks fine so I think it's specific to the affected one and possibly a root problem, have a bit of a dig round the base of the affected pear and see what is happening below the ground.

Did the planter dry out? I have a pear tree in a pot that did the same, it's fine after a good soaking albeit a bit confused as it's blossoming again!

It looks pretty dead to me, cant think the Leylandii would cause that to happen, was it well established this year or newly planted.

Looks like drought to me. Roots of conifers have been known to invade raised beds. If that is what happened, the pear would go short of water. You really need to dig down and see what is happening around the roots.

Is there any physical root barrier between the leylandii and the raised bed?
