I've forgotten how to re-assemble my elderly Garden Pump.

I've forgotten how to re-assemble my elderly Garden Pump but have an exploded diagram. Can anyone offer me help?

 

Have you all the pieces?
Picture and copy of the plan perhaps.
Make and model useful.

 

I certainly do, I reduced the size, here it is;
1.I'm not sure if I put the new washer back the correct way hanging up or down.
2. I'm not sure if item "18" fits into item "10" held in place by item "9".
3. The main upper body does not fit back into the lower body and water leaks out there.
4. I'm not sure if I should have treated the new washer with any preservative.

I think you are correct
Cup washer 18 should be open to top. Normally soaked in tallow or grease. (Engine oil as a desperate option!) You may need to prime pump initially(fill suction tube) to initiate.
