    Good day
It is 72f and very muggy. Loads of clouds are crowding the sky but the guessers say it won't rain until tomorrow. But I am still taking a break from doing any work outside. My right hand from the middle finger over to and including the thumb is raw and keeps splitting open. It was from cutting up the branches that I had chopped down. I'll wait until they at least stop splitting and bleeding.

Grandkids are gone and now my son has moved all of the stuff that Sam left at his place, into my cellar because his oldest boy, my grandson Evan, is moving back in with them for a short bit. No lack of exercise around here!

How nice that Van paid a visit with your guests @Victoria :)

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.

We are having a spell of really great gardening weather at the moment, warm enough without making you uncomfortably. hot when you're working. Perfect!:dig:

            Enjoy your day too. :)

              Good Morning Yall.jpeg

It looks like a 'rain day' out there and I hope it is. We had a short unexpected storm early evening yesterday which was not forecast and one is forecast for this evening. A bit dodgy looking the next few days actually.

We had a lazy day yesterday and I don't believe anything special is on the cards for today..

                Morning all!

it’s grey and cold this am and looks like we’ve had a good poor down in the night so that’s my garden watered ;)

Not doing much today, more washing and drying and chilling while we can.

Upsydaisy did you say it’s warm where you are ?

cup of tea coffee anyone ?:spinning:

                  Good day
It is another cloudy day and the guessers are predicting rain again. My perennials will have gotten lots of drinks before autumn puts everybody to sleep.

I haven't got any earth shaking plans today either @Flumpy . I did most of my washing yesterday and what's left will wait until when it is dry again so probably tomorrow.

I'm going to measure what blackout lining I have left on a bolt I have in stock to see how much of the current job I can look at doing while waiting for the backordered new lining to come at the end of the month. I have 30 feet (wide) of windows to cover with curtains.

The funeral procession is being aired on television at the moment and I am watching it. It is quite magnificent. A fitting end for a wonderful monarch.

                  Cheers :coffee:

                    Good morning everyone.

It certainly was a well deserved and fitting farewell to a life well lived and dedicated to serving until it's end.

I dipped into bits of it throughout the day and it was spectacular indeed..

Now she can finally rest it peace with Philip.

We're getting low on a few bits so the dreaded chore of grocery shopping is on the the agenda for this morning.

Hubs isn't that keen on the task either so it would be unfair of me to leave it for him to do alone....wouldn't it.. :heehee:

Hope to carry on assessing what requires dividing, moving, ditching and planting out later today out in my happy place.

                    Have a fab day.

The sun is out but it s cloudy too, quite calm. The birds have gone quiet.

Don't think anything is on the cards today.

                      Have a good one all.

                        Good day
I'm now sat with my first cuppa. I've got a load of whites in the washer and three more loads of bedding lined up to go in following those as it is going to be a clear sunny day and excellent for line drying.

The bird bath is refilled and I've hung out the hummingbird feeder as I do every morning. If I don't take them in at night, the raccoons will use the hummingbird feeder like a power drink and break it as well and use the bird bath to wash their hands after copious amounts of digging for wigglers.

@Upsydaisy I too have been having discussions with myself over what gets pulled or moved or whatever. It's like playing chess with the plants. I am close to needing to dig up the cannas and store them and the 4 o'clocks are getting pretty weary. I sure hope my tree lily bulbs arrive soon so I can get them sorted before it turns cold again!

@Victoria a free day is always pleasant. I sometimes get frustrated with having something "on" nearly every day and look forward to totally unscheduled days.

                        @Flumpy and @Michael Hewett I hope you're both having a pleasant day.

                        Cheers :coffee:

Hi @CanadianLori yes I've had a pleasant day thank you, I've been watching the builders getting on with constructing my greenhouse, and making teas and coffees for them, and also been planting some bulbs but I ran out of pots, all the empty ones are too small so I think I will have to make a trip to a garden centre soon :hapydancsmil:
I keep telling myself it will be for buying pots only ! :heehee:

:heehee: @pete and I have a quiet joke about Hummingbirds as most of what I buy (and possibly Pete) are attractrive to Hummingbirds. I don't think I have seen a Hummingbird in my life!

I don't think that is a possibility at all Michael.

The hummingbirds share their time between the flowers and the feeder. I'm down to just two young ones now as the adults have gone south. These kids stick around a little longer.

I am shocked that there are still some monarch butterflies flitting about. Seems a little late in the season for them.
