      Good morning! :)

As usual our day yesterday didn't go as planned ,we decided to visit some friends that we've known for 45 years instead. Arrived back just after one so still managed to have some garden time and I got to plant out two big tubs of Spring bulbs...more to do today.

The weather is really ideal at the moment, sunny and not uncomfortably warm, still nice enough to enjoy our meals outside too. Lovely.

      Have a peaceful Sunday everybody.

Good morning Upsydaisy! Your day sound like my kind of day, I’m going to be weeding while the washing is on & Hubby is jet washing the drive after clearing the weeds last night, then popping for a cuppa at my parents, hopefully the sun will be out so we can sit outside :spinning:

The sun is up but rather Autumnal at 16c with a nippy breeze.

I was sick in the night so am wondering if it is the new tablets, Slept well after and feel okay now, just about to have a mug of peppermint tea and chocolate chip biscuit.

Just a quiet Sunday here. Hope everyone has a good day.

Oh no Vicky.....I wish I had read this before I emailed you!!

Poor you, I hate being sick.Horrid!

Yes :fingers crossed: it's just initial side effects, but obviously see how it goes you might find your prescription needs changing.
Take care and take it easy.

                Hi Flumpy and Upsy

Side effects say nausea. Also says don't take with Aspirin. I take 100mg Aspirin at bedtime and the Atorvastatin at 8pm and Dr B said that is fine to continue. Think it is just something new in the system as I don't have the best digestive system especially having been on so many cancer and antibiotic drugs for years, now none. I suffer with sinus drainage too.

I never eat anything untoward ... had an egg and cheese muffin last night.

Have a good visit with your parents Flumpy (or can I say Karen) and Upsy have fun with your bulbs and whatevers. xx

Going to update Algarve Garden now with my Autumn colour.

                    Good day
It has been raining and is quite chilly and the guessers say this will continue until Wednesday.

@Victoria I'm sorry to hear you were sick in the night. That's got to be particularly alarming when your mobility is a bit stifled as well.

I've got my beloved Corrie on this morning and will be doing the "day 2" part of preparing a sourdough loaf to bake. Got my fingers crossed as the last few attempts produced lead bread. Utterly rock hard lead bread! :heehee:

And I'll be doing a few other chores as the episodes air.

                    Cheers :coffee:

                      Good morning everyone.

Vicky how are you feeling now ? I hope the sickness has subsided and your body is adjusting to the new meds OK.

Lori how did you bread turn out yesterday?

We're off into town again this morning to attend an appointment. I'm hoping to be able to have a browse afterwards as my eldest sister has a ' significant ' birthday in November so I need to start getting ideas.....only trouble is that hubs isn't a willing browsing companion really.

I also need to see my brother this week but he has an appointment on Friday so not much of a choice...it will be weather dependent I think.

A friend phoned to see if I was interested is a cinema trip too but that will probably be Friday or even maybe next week.

It's also our Wedding Anniversary on Thursday too so all in all a busy week awaits.

And I still have bulbs to plant as well!!

                      Enjoy your day everyone.

It is sunny and calm this morning.

Felt slightly queasy last night after getting in bed ... think it is the lying down, but just had my peppermint tea and McVities Fruit biscuit and feel fine. Going to have a lazy soak in the bath when I get up ... would like a bubble bath but don't dare put anything slippy in!

A friend here used to do sour dough bread and I think gave me the recipe, supposedly easy, but never tried it.

Definitely a busy week for you Upsy!

                            Good day
It is 53f 11c and the clouds are moving back in. Just as the guessers said :hate-shocked: :heehee:

My sourdough bread could have been baked a little less time and I had already shortened the baking time listed on the recipe by 15 minutes! The crust is lovely and chewy and the inside is very dense. I think it should have more holes  Nevertheless, I shall use it for toast this morning :)

Some of the splits in my hands have healed enough for me to start sewing. I'll wear latex gloves to do it and have a thick layer of lotion, maybe even cortisone cream, inside the gloves. :blue thumb:

Best get on with my day here...

                            Cheers :coffee:

                              Good morning ! :)

Sorry to hear that you're still not feeling quite right Vicky, if it is the meds then perhaps it's still early days yet for your body to adjust to them maybe.

Your bread sounds pretty scrummy to me Lori .....I'm sure I can even smell it!!:heehee:
Glad that your hands are gradually healing, sounds painful.

Had a good but tiring day yesterday, we left at 9:15 and got back around 3:30. When you stop and calculated where you actually go when in the city you then realise how much walking you do!! :yikes:

Decided on what to get my sister but discovered it's not in stock ,so thought I would order online to collect at the store but then found out they had run out of her size..fingers crossed they'll have their stock back in time for her birthday ,if not I'll have to rethink.

Had a couple of coffee and cake stop offs overlooking the water, this time a couple of big ships were in berth. It's interesting to watch all the comings and goings of the port.

A friend phoned me yesterday evening suggesting we have coffee, cake and catch up in our local town this morning, so that where I'm heading off to in about an hours time. Looking forward to seeing her.

Hope your day is an enjoyable one too.

Hello everyone, I am a bit late on parade today.

It is a bright sunny day going to 25c so will be pleasant when we meet our friends for lunch. Haven't seen them in five years although we keep in touch.

Munchkin finished her medicine last night ... so Silly Minnie was sitting on the bed waiting for it at 8am!!! Still gave her the treaties though.

Hope your hands heal soon Lori.

Have a lovely visit with your friend Upsy.
