Good day
I'm glad to hear you got a "two for one" deal with your plants @Victoria. It's always a bonus when that happens.

It is 42f 5c and the garden is starting to show signs of losing the battle against the cold. We've had 4 consecutive nights of frost warnings and it is not going to get warmer.

It is lovely that it will be a sunny day so I will be doing some cleanup out there in pleasant circumstances.

I had a super time with my friends yesterday. We visited a small town on the Grand River and I brought home some sausages and fresh baking from their local shops.

As well as starting to pull out poorly annuals, I've got my mountain of laundry to do as I was waiting for a sunny day and I'm going to make some pie pastry. I saw buttertarts at the bakery yesterday and got the urge to make some. Well, I saw some other goodies too but I'll keep it one thing. Oh wait, no, I need to make some more special fudge too

Yes I've just come in from the garden for a bite to eat and hope to go back out before our predicted rain arrives.

As it's the weekend I usually ' go with the flow' and see where my day leads to.

Hopefully our weather will be a bit more settled today, giving me more opportunity to get the bulbs planted. I'm not too worried as there's plenty of time still too get the job done.

That's how I make the distinction between weekdays and weekends.....otherwise I feel that I don't benefit from having them anymore!! So no plans made just take life easy.

I was sick in the night again but think it was from lack of food and only slept between 4-7am so I will certainly be a lazy git today.

It is cloudy and 50f. The guessers say the sun will shine through soon but it won't get much warmer.

@Victoria I too feel nauseated if I don't eat for a long time. And sometimes when I'm like that, I feel even more nauseated after eating for a good 10 or 15 minutes as my esophagus starts stoking my stomach. It's annoying but luckily I don't actually get to the point of vomiting. I hope your getting sick stops soon!

I've decided to do a bit more work on the monster panels. At least until the sun wins the day. And I will go ahead and make the butter tarts today. It's kinda funny because the recipe I use, doesn't have any butter in it!

Hmmm, @Michael Hewett talking of baking reminds me that it might be a good idea to make some of your custard slices this week too!

I would be a super barrel if I made/ate all the goodies you conjure up!

My computer is really playing up and J has had it apart since this morning ... but he has to have it back when I finish this as my photos are all lost!!! The warranty went out on it last month ... all things have an automatic two-year warranty here.

 

Hi all hope your ok, Vicky sorry to hear your not feeling to good, I use slippery helm tablets from Holland and Barrett, they work within 15 minutes even good if you get a acid stomach too, hope you get to the bottom of it, big hugs

it’s not been a nice week at work, six years and they still haven’t sorted the smelly drain smell at work plus one of our colleagues had her car stolen off her drive 3.30am Friday, they broke in her house and took the keys so I had to cover her at our other Chemist.

It’s my sister in laws hen meal tonight sounds like there’s going to be a lot there, my mum is coming too so I’ll look after her, I’ll keep you all posted
