It is a calm, hazy start to the day but a sunny/cloudy day forecast and we may even have some rain in the coming days.

I had a good nights sleep so am pleased with that. Just a lazy Sunday here although J will probably put a few panels up ... he is having to do it in stages.

Lori, wishing you a stress free day with your Thanksgiving Dinner ... I will have a white meat and stuffing sandwich later please. Do you do cranberry sauce there too?

Bom Dia Vicky, just woke to sunshine but cold morning thanks for asking Vicky, I’m feeling tired from work and a lovely ulcer from where I bit my tongue on Friday, I’m just gonna relax today and put the washing on, I did want to cut the lawn but it’s wet through at the moment as the sun isn’t getting on it as much now, How are you feeling today ? Tell your J to take it easy on that back today

Good morning.

Another lovely day , we are enjoying the same weather here as what we would be at home as it's exactly the same forecast.

We will be travelling back later this afternoon as we decided that despite the rail strikes the quieter travelling experience would be better and this will also allow baby son to try and fit in 8 hrs work today, he is quite happy to work until late into the evening.
We will have to jump train and finish the journey by coach though because of the strikes. Older son and his girlfriend wanted us to stay tonight with them but as they both have to leave early for work on Monday morning they agreed with me ( and younger son ) that travelling from their part of London to Waterloo might be too much for their poor Dad to cope with!! As I would have to cope with him on my own.....no way!! Coach trip here we come!

horrors ... I do that once in a blue moon. Sometimes I put a dollop of salt on it for a few minutes.

I am feeling quite good today ... am currently sitting with my feet on an energizer which I do every morning and J is about to go out into The Baffa.

Thanks but is should fine Vicky, no real concerns......travelling back tomorrow I definitely would have if we were staying over at older son's place.

Downside to the weekend is that I've had ..and still do have an horrendous migraine and have run out of meds...dark glasses time so it's a good job it's very sunny outside.

 

Oh, not good for travelling. Take care.

Sounds like I'm 5 hours behind everybody else here as far as getting anything done! It is 46f 7c and only a few puffy clouds in the sky and I think the sun is going to shoo them away too.

Here is my menu: Turkeys (one 22lbs one 10 lbs) and I will stuff these, mashed potatoes, acorn squash, rutabaga (mashed with butter and a bit of brown sugar), brussels sprouts, green beans, yellow beans, roasted carrots, niblet corn, gravy, cranberry sauce and spicy cranberry sauce. For dessert, pumpkin pie with whipped cream or apple pie with vanilla ice cream. I've got bread dough going so as to make buns for people to take home with some turkey for sandwiches.

I'll set one aside for you @Victoria

I'll wait to watch my show until after all the food prep is done. Plus I still need to vacuum the main floor and do a little cleaning before that.

@Upsydaisy safe journey home and I hope the migraine stays behind.

@Flumpy ouch! I've only done a few times and recall how unpleasant it was. Makes you think twice before telling someone to, "bite your tongue"!

Tomorrow is our official Thanksgiving but I do it a day early so that the younger generations feast and then have a day of rest before returning to work/school. I don't know why but I've always felt that a meal heavy in melatonin left me feeling a bit sluggish the next day.

Good morning

We had a bit of rain during the night but it's cleared away now and today is looking good.

Trip back went fine with a smooth and swift transfer to the coach mid way. The train was virtually empty.. Arrived home just before 6pm.

Gosh the mornings are certainly getting darker now when we get up, it seems to happen all of a sudden.

I have a friend coming over this afternoon so really looking forward to seeing her.

Good morning all !

Well after a very nippy, shock to the system night we are greeted by another beautiful dawn.

Laundry is done and is ready and waiting for the sun to hit the washing line before it gets hung out to dry.

I really have to overlook the flowers in bloom and start digging up the tender ones to over winter as last night was definitely a wake up call reminding us that Winter is almost upon us.

So I guess that will be my plan of action for today.

The bright hazziness of earlier is getting greyer but we are not forecast rain till tonight. As we didn't get what was forecast last night. It is damp though and they are picking oranges as I can hear plonk, plonk, plonk in buckets.
