        Good day
It is 48f 8c now. There was frost everywhere this morning when I first got up but the sun has made short work of it :)

The dinner went very well. By mealtime we added a couple of people so it was a few mismatched chairs and a full dining room.

No, I didn't stop eating. There is still pie left. Lovely pumpkin pie. Yum! Granddaughter and I had pie for dessert after breakfast yesterday. ;) Everything is cleaned up, tablecloth ironed and rolled back onto the fabric tube. It is a full 12 feet long so no way to fold it without creating a lot of crease marks.

I'm off in a few minutes to go to pick up some slabs of foam for seat cushions. Because they are bulky, the cost of shipping would be horrendous so it is worth my time and gas to pick them up.

And I plan to be in the back yard for the afternoon. I received my tree lily bulbs and want to get them in the ground. The guessers say it will rain tomorrow and thursday so getting them in today would be perfect timing :blue thumb:

@Victoria now you've got me thinking about making marmalade!

        Cheers all :coffee:

Good morning , how's everyone today?

I am going to visit my brother this morning but apart from that garden duties are calling me.

Another laundry load is ready to go out , unfortunately it's not quite as sunny as yesterday but fingers crossed it will still dry well. I think rain is on the horizon for tomorrow.

Have a good day, hopefully doing things that make you smile.

It is a calm bright morning after our brief rain spell yesterday but the garden is happy and the foliage is free of dust.

J is meeting Donald for lunch as it was cancelled last week. I think I may have a soak in the bath this morning ... sometimes I just feel like I need one.

Upsy, have a safe journey and hope R is well.

It was lovely Upsy. I like my feet to have a good soak then scrub. :heehee: This was the third time in five years I have been able to get in and out on my own ... with J nearby! You don't know what you are missing until you cant do it. I still have a few more hurdles to conquer.

                  Good day,
It is nice to be greeted by happy, clean people! :heehee: I'm glad your soak worked out well @Victoria and that your visit with your brother will go well @Upsydaisy .

I've got some things to keep me busy. The timing on my big industrial straight machine somehow got knocked out so I am going at it again to try to fix that. The head of the machine alone weighs over 50 pounds so I have to be careful not to get my fingers caught anywhere. And I'll be Hilda Ogden while working on it. Kill two birds sorta thing.

It is cloudy and the rain the guessers had forecast for last night, hasn't arrived yet but my tree lilies are all planted and waiting for their watering in whenever it shows up.

                  Cheers all :coffee:

Good day @Flumpy. Yes, we had a lovely feast. We kept adding to our numbers so pretty much shoulder to should eating. Lots of giggles and fun.

Hmmm, your manager is being pretty cagey. I hope the gas guy doesn't come until the chemist is closed... :fingers crossed:

                          Good morning all.:)

Well done Vicky !! All your hard work and perseverance is paying off. You should be so proud of what you've achieved.

Not a bad trip to my brother's yesterday. I showed him pics from our weekend up in London . We got talking about our childhood years ( long term memory is the last to go ) so I Google Earthed our childhood homes to see what they looked like today here and in Nottingham and Blackpool....he seemed to enjoy it and shared his memoirs of a coup!e of the places ( he never lived up in Lancashire, it was before he was born). So all in all it was a nice visit.

Have to leave in a minute as hubs has an early hospital app then we plan on going on to another nearby town to see if I can finally get to buy the gift that I want to give my sister for her birthday, I've tried several of their stores and their online site , this is the last of their stores that are fairly local to us ...so :fingers crossed:.

The weather has taken a turn and it's now a tad on the damp side out there today but still mild.

                          Have a great day.:)

It is a bright, calm start to the day, 18c going to 25c.

So pleased the visit to R went smoothly Upsy and that you got to enjoy times past. Trust all goes well this morning both with hospital and shopping.

Nothing special here, just J working on his paneling.

                            Enjoy your day everyone.

                              Good day
The temperature is supposed to plunge after today - they are calling for snow flurries come Tuesday. But it is mild again today as we only dropped down to the mid teens C last night. Right now it is 60f 14c and very cloudy. We had torrential rains last night and this morning so that pleases me as I dropped soil and grass seed in a few bare spots yesterday. And also the tree lilies will have gotten nicely watered in.

I've got a bit of shopping to get done shortly and after that I have a client coming by before noon with 20 yards of fabrics. She has 11 seat cushions she needs doing over. And I got my big machine fixed yesterday all set for the job. :)

                              Cheers all :coffee:

                                Good morning!

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the coming day.

We had a hectic but fruitful day yesterday. We ended up going here there and everywhere but finally tracked down and purchased the gift that I wanted for my sister .

We travelled everywhere by bus which is proving quite relaxing for hubs ( apart from the time the bus was very late, I just had to remind him that time is ours now and there is no hurry) .

Our first stop was for hubs to attend a hospital app. I went to the big GC opposite the hospital and had a coffee and a mooch around. I had already checked to see if the store in this town had what I was after for my sister and unfortunately they had sold out.
Next we travelled back to the little town that is our most local one and as we had nearly an hour to wait before catching the bus linking to the next town ( I had checked their branch of the store and found that they had the gift that I wanted in stock) so we grabbed a quick lunch.

Finally got to the store around 2:30 pm and found what I was looking for at last! We had a quick look around before heading homeward back to our little home town. Arriving back in town we found that we had about 40 minutes to wait for our final bus back to where we live and so decided to walk the 2.5 miles home. We got home just after 5pm having left home at 8:50 am !! Phew.

We were so lucky that the forecast rain for the afternoon never arrived and as most of the area that we had to travel through is on the edge of the beautiful South Downs it was lovely just enjoying the view without having to drive.

Today we are planning on a quieter day out in the garden....if the weather permits, hubs wants to finish insulating the greenhouse if possible.:fingers crossed:

                                Have an enjoyable day everyone.:dbgrtmb:

                                :spinning:
