                  Back in Guildford now and got caught out by the first frost last night. My greenhouses were all open and all my tender stuff still outdoors. Nothing looks blackened yet.

                  It was forecast to get colder and down to 0c at lunchtime, actually it's been bright sunshine and has risen to 15c. It's feeling chilly indoors on the north side of the house.

                  Possibly another frost tonight.

                    It's surprising how much hardier tender stuff is at this time of the year ,compared to spring.

                      Yes my cannas etc seem to take several frosts to blacken the leaves at this time of the season, but in spring would probably kill them down to the root.

                            It reached 15c very sunny and still warm if you stay in the sun.

                            I dropped off out there for a while and woke up feeling pretty warm.

                                Just discovered my new weather forecasting system had a major glitch, on investigation it seems the 0c temperature was actually 0% chance of rain. I have booked Mrs JWK for an eye test.
