Cosmos late flowering

    IMG_20221014_173826.jpg This has gone to over 5 foot and has now got lots of buds, I'm really hoping it flowers before any frost. I've never had one that's grown so big and flowering so late, any one any ideas?

      Mine are still budding up and flowering but at a much slower pace now. Two years ago I grew some taller ones that were white and a very pale pink, trouble is I hadn't read the seed pkt properly ..I'm 5ft 6 and they grew taller than me but they were much later in blooming ...nevertheless not this late. To be honest yours may not produce flowers now..but I hope I'm proven wrong. :fingers crossed: :biggrin:

          @Becky42 Some years ago I grew Cosmos on our balcony & they also got very tall & I had some plants in flower in October as well! I also used to grow some on an allotment I had up until about 5 years ago. I had 2 varieties, one called Seashells which was the one I liked most! It had scalloped ends to the petals! I also had Sensations mixed. They all flowered really well & were still going strong into October, as you can see in the photos below.
