We enjoyed another walk along the river yesterday before heading home, it's just a very short walk from baby son's place..It's too good an opportunity to miss!!

Took Berry for his walk and it's very mild today. This path leads to Beoley village that's not far away.

Making last minute checks on timings for tomorrow's outing!
I am determined to try and get out for a day each week and away from gardening chores and the house...not that I don't love them both dearly but.....
It's so easy to get into the same old daily routines or to simply not bother to shake a leg and get out there into the wider world beyond the garden or neighbourhood, especially during the winter months.

Must admit though that hubs isn't showing much enthusiasm....I think our couple of recent trips have had an effect on him somewhat.:roflol:

He was making excuses not to come with me so I said that I would ask my sister or if not I would be happy to go alone. He was very eager and showed a lot of interest at first.....until it dawned on him that I wasn't planning to go with a friend...but with him!:heehee:

The forecast is looking good for tomorrow so we're planning on hitting the buses again and say hello to Salisbury in Wilts.
He did look a tad concerned when I mentioned that the bus that we were getting back on mid afternoon was the last one of the day to our area.
I secretly have everything crossed they don't cancel it...but shhh I'm trying to send out positive vibes only.:heehee:

I keep telling myself that it's only a short walk of 25miles away.

@Upsydaisy maybe he was hoping you'd go out and he'd be left alone in the house and be able to jump up and down on the beds and other hijinks while you were out.. :heehee:

I'm going to be working for most of the day but I do plan on doing a bit of rewiring when my workday is done.

I only liked shopping on my own ... well, I was okay with my Sister as we saw each other so infrequently and we had the same interests ... markets, Charity shops, Chinese shops, etc.

I am sure you will have a grand time Upsy.

Super day out in Salisbury, Wiltshire. We travelled there and back by bus ...at the very front on the top deck of double deckers, and so had great views of our stunning countryside and all the little villages en-route.

Once at Salisbury we wandered around the markets before heading to the fabulous Cathedral. Next we headed to the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Gardens and sat out in the sun enjoying the marvellous views with our coffees.

We headed back to the city centre for some lunch. Finally we went on a walkabout to admire some of the city's oldest buildings ..there are so many and we only managed to see a handful.
Never mind there will definitely be a next time. :dbgrtmb:

Changed two horrible metal light fittings (which were here when we moved in 10 years ago) - replacing them with the 'normal' plastic pendants. I have never seen such a rats nest of wiring behind each of the metal fittings.

When we first moved in - 2 fittings had to be changed straight away - as I was constantly bashing my head on them. The previous owners of this place must have been hobbits I reckon .

Not hobbits they'd just taken on board a top tip from a magazine; "if you have to change light bulbs frequently, consider lowering the fittings so steps aren't needed".
