They arrived at 8,45am spot on time, took 30 minutes for a lunch break and left around 2.45pm after a beer break with J. I thought about asking him what was going on but J said it would not do/prove anything. I sat out front late morning and Stu shouted 'Hi Gorgeous' and came and said I looked well, had gained a bit of weight as I was a stick insect last time he saw me two years ago and we discussed my current issues.

Thank you Balc. I had lost 4-1/2 stone and didn't look well at all. It was not done purposely. Now I have put a bit too much back on!!! :rolleyespink:

Sat in the sun for 20 minutes but it was too hot at 24c with no breeze but took a couple of photos.

The Iochroma cut back with potted Hibiscus rosa-sinensis in front and Viburnum to the right ...

Van ventured up into his naked Tree House with the Jacaranda fronds gone ...

... to lie down and snooze ...

... and five minutes later he was back down as it was too hot, so he went into the big Thevetia pot but that only lasted about two minutes in full sun so he moved to the shade. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Your plants are looking real good! Over here the leaves are falling off the trees & there are few flowers to see.

Thank you Balc. Yes, we are coming into our element now the heat has gone. I imagine it was like this when you lived in Spain? Did you have a house with garden or apartment balcony? Is your wife Spanish?

For information, in the pictures of the Bougainvilla over the gate and the Tecomaria, that is a suckered Tecomaria next to the gate and J doesn't want it removed, and the shrub between the two Tecomarias is a Geranium which gets to 4-5 feet tall each year after cutting back.

@Victoria We never lived in houses in Spain only in flats, like we have done for the past 21 years here in the UK. Yes, my wife is Spanish. I imagine the weather was quite similar in Spain to what you get but as you are much closer to the sea than we were it probably makes your winters milder than where we used to live in Cuenca city, (the capital of Cuenca province).

The city is 1000m above sea level & at the end of the range of hills called SerranĂa de Cuenca. The city is on the road between Madrid & Valencia, about halfway along.
