    Morning Lori :)

I've never had Laverbread either and I'm ashamed to admit I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to new and unusual food tastings.

I am quite content with a plate of veg or a bowl of mixed salad and some chicken. Bad I know...I should be more adventurous really. I do eat all that hubs cooks but he likes to play it safe too ,we eat fish and a little beef and lamb too but my preference remains with Chicken.

I do however absolutely loooooove Marmite!! Mmmmm yummy! Apparently it is said to be an acquired taste. Marmite on toast..love it! :imphrt:

    Enjoy your day Lori.

I'd be angry too @Victoria, I've seen the photos.

@CanadianLori and @Upsydaisy if you want laverbread you'll have to go to Swansea or Llanelli markets, those are the only places I've seen the real thing.
I bought it dried in a box once, it was horrible and nothing like it should be. It ended up in the bin !

I'm not adventurous, I only like very plain food. I'm rather boring really :noidea:.

        Good morning.:)

Fresh, frozened, tinned and dried are undoubtedly convenient and now a standard way of life but I believe you Michael.
Fresh food is by far the best, it's surprising sometimes how little resemblance there is to the 'real thing', once the food has been processed!!

We have a nice day ahead of us ,no set plans so hopefully I can knuckle down and make significant headway in getting the garden into shape for the Winter.
From tomorrow the days will be shorter, so no time to waste.:dig:

        Have a great day.

          Morning all.

A fine day is ahead of us too so I will plant up my news purchases.

I also need to do some catching up e-mails which I failed to finish yesterday as J and John got here much earlier than I expected but had a good visit.

          Enjoy your day.

            Morning Vicky. :)

Glad to hear that you had an enjoyable afternoon with John yesterday.
We've had a quiet week and haven't done any socialising really apart from I spent Thursday afternoon with my sister.
We still don't know the Covid status at my brother's place and sadly there is no point asking him, so for the time being my older sister and I are video calling him only.
I did enjoy a lengthy video call with a friend up in Yorkshire on Tuesday and a phone catch up with another on Monday.....so I haven't been a total hermit this week I suppose.

Have a lovely day, love to you both. xx

              Good day
It is 34f 1c and the sun is just starting to peep over the horizon. The guessers say that sunshine will be on the menu for both today and tomorrow and I plan to get outside this afternoon and enjoy it.

I've got some sourdough warming up to room temperature after a night in the fridge. I'll also make some soft buns too. I've filled up the capillary watering receptacle for the plants that are indoors now and got laundry on the go too.

It is too cold to play outside this morning so I am going to go through my fabric stash and match up patterns that will work with them. I have 4 empty hangers just waiting for something new!

              Cheers all :coffee:

                Tarde Upsy xx

Just came in from potting up my Newbies and J started tidying up the Myrtus mess, but it is 24c now and too hot in the sun. Will go back out 5ish when the front has some shade.

How is Ss's knee doing these days, been meaning to ask. How is your knee behaving? I wish you knew how R is! We did not accept my Covid Booster as it was the same day/time as my aborted Ultrasound so now wait for new notification.

These things are sent to try us ... and they do!

Dia Lori! It seems like not long ago you were vying temps with me and now you are almost negative. Our lowest has been 14c so far.

                Enjoy your baking/sewing.

Thank you @Victoria . Some of the sewing is just mundane. I'm washing up a new set of bed linens and I always add and extra length of material to the bottom of the flat sheet which is what goes from the top of the foot of the bed and down under the mattress. This makes a nice long sheet to fold over the blankies at the top.

Then it will be the fun stuff. And after, my granddaughters are coming around to make some muffins and things.

Lots of good times :) Oh, and good things to do when it is too chilly to play outside :blue thumb:

                    Morning! :)

The shorter days have arrived....boohooo :cry3::sad:.

Not sure of our plans for today as our forecast is predicting a ' damp' day...but who knows, we'll have to wait and see what we end up with. :dunno:

Depending on the weather we might go for a walk this morning.:fingers crossed:

                    Have a good Sunday everybody.

We had a little rain in the night and it looks like the sun is breaking through because the Ginger Thomas is glowing and the birds are singing. The time changes don't bother me.

We may go to Lagos toward the West Coast today as J wants to buy some musical equipment. Other than that, nothing planned here.

Have a relaxing and pleasant day.

We are not going to Lagos today, either Wednesday or Thursday now. There was a misunderstanding ... the guy doesn't arrive from the UK till tomorrow!

@Flumpy J (my guy) doesn't play anything as such, he buys and sells instruments, mainly guitars, as does his best friend John. John plays around like J but is taking piano lessons twice a week. They often buy from or sell to each other. :rolleyespink:

It is all blue skies and sunny now.

Had an enjoyable walk this morning before driving into town to..yes you've guessed..do a spot of shopping !!. There were a few bits I wanted to get and as the weather was good I thought we might as well try and make the ordeal a tad more pleasant as this coming week is lookinga bit 'iffy' weather wise.
We normally avoid town and shops at weekends and it certainly reinforced our reasoning why, oh my gosh it was horrendously busy!! :yikes:

I feel completely whacked out from the experience...my age is now well and truly showing it's true colours!!

I can't even muster up the energy for a gardening session...yes my experience was that bad!:heehee: I might make a start on listing seeds for next year instead..

                                Have a relaxing afternoon .
