I keep looking while I’m there, it’s not doing my health any good, some days the drains underneath the flooring smells of raw sewage, even customers complain, the abuse off customers, the overwhelming work load now that we can’t keep up with, I was having palpitations last week and going dizzy, I don’t say anything normally on here as I don’t want to be seen as a moaner

        Good day
It is weird getting up to daylight since we changed the clocks last night (Sunrise 7 Sunset 17:04) and this exceptionally warm weather has hung around too.(54f 22c as well) What a giant bonus!!

@Flumpy I have 10 grandchildren in my B&B - 9 Blood & 2 Blended. I see eight of them regularly and two, (ex DIL oldest) I haven't seen in years. Sad but glad. I always felt like I needed a detector at my front door when they came as they had sticky fingers. :(

I've got a busy morning to get to. I'm going to be pickling some beets and then I have to do a good cleaning in the kitchen as I didn't do it yesterday. Instead I made Christmas cakes. A lot of mini cakes. They are all not in the cellar fridge so that's the end of the Christmas baking until around December 9th and then the marathon starts!

I had two lines from the solar panels go dead and spent some time yesterday while the cakes were baking, tracing the line breaks (chewed by something) and failing connections. All are fixed now except one which just needs me to make a short extension. Easy peasy as I left the two ends exposed and ready to join up. :blue thumb:

And my beloved Corrie is airing the normal Sunday morning regurgitation of the 6 episodes that aired week nights.

        All just wonderful :spinning:

        Cheers all :coffee:

Aawe Lori I never knew you had a B & B sounds like you’ve got your work cut out. Your weather temperatures are up and down, we are on 7c and very damp I’ve heard it’s meant to go dry from Thursday onwards :dbgrtmb:

What job did you use to do @Flumpy , or have you always worked in a Chemist?

I would most definitely chuck it in and have a break, if it's affecting your health so much nothing is worth that risk. Cut backs can always be made to make up for any financial loss I'm sure. Does your Hubs work fulltime?

Had a busy morning doing all the housework chores that I normally do in smaller chunks throughout the week. This coming week is looking busy with not much spare time so as it was still raining this morning I decided to break my ' no
housework at weekends ' rule and get on with it.

Just had our dinner and we're now about to go for the afternoon...and I can even see some sunshine!!

Ive worked in Chemists for 26 years before that nursery nurse, worked in Estate agency, wedding shop and when I was 18 I trained as a print finisher, unfortunately they shut down, think the job I enjoyed the most was working in the wedding shop, I’ll keep looking, can’t see myself working like this until I’m 65, my hubby works full time like me but we need it to pay mortgage and bills, I’m going to see if I’ve got some holidays spare, only had two weeks off this year :rolleyespink: on my way Vicky :spinning:, thanks everyone for being there :imphrt:

NOOO, I don't have a Bed and Breakfast, I have a family that is Blood and Blend (B&B)

And now I've finished preserving the beets. Half are the big ones sliced and the other half of lesser dimensions are now relish.

It is 14c 60f here and rising. Yesterday we hit 76f.

We may be far away Karen but always here for you. Vxx I am sure you are very employable ... used to be in Human Resources for years including a diamond mine in West Africa and Hozelock in the UK. I would hire you. ;)
