I doubt very much those seeking citizenship had those same questions as Meghan, hence why I said supposedly. I am on a Thai/UK forum with some of the questions been passed to other individuals via PM there is a pattern of questions being random and more difficult.

I am not sure but the life in the UK official hand book is now either the 3rd or 4th edition, why the change, its a joke.

Not as far as I know, Even the tabloids don't even know the requirements of gaining UK citizenship. The Daily Express reported that Meghan had not lived in the UK for 3 years, stating that was UK law requirement according to the government website. To gain British citizenship you need to have lived in the UK for 5 years and have ILR. You can only get an ILR when you have lived in the UK for 5 years, then you are eligible to apply for citizenship. You also, can not have been out of the UK more than 470 days in that 5 year period and no longer than 270 days in the 3 years prior to applying.

The 3 year rule was for those who had settled status under the EU settlement scheme, brexit.
