Oh, I love those roses @glengarry23 ! I love flowers that not only offer eye candy but also give a lovely fragrance.

I've never grown roses. I guess because they scare me as I am a shy pruner and would probably ruin whatever I chose.

                Thanks for sharing!

and sorry to hear you lost caution for a moment. Swift recovery! :paladin:

Welcome back Philip, it's good to hear you are feeling better. :)

Your roses are stunning! I miss them all in my previous garden and the few I have here don't like the climate or soil. I'll dig them up and try them in pots but may have to give them up completely.

@Sheal ,..thank you Sheal,..oh keep trying with the roses and take cuttings where ever you can,..you will find a rose bush to grow where you are.

We were warned of heavy frost arriving,..alas it arrived and there was a big change in the garden this morning.

Snapdragons were in bloom but now hit by frost.

Philip, I am surprised you get frost in your little protected garden and up against the wall of the house.

I like your Alstroemeria (spelling?) I have collected some seeds again this year and will try to get them to germinate. Maybe this time I'll get lucky!

Ah yes Victoria a surprise to me as well,..anything i grow close to the house tends to keep growing and is never damaged by frost,..this frost didn't appear all over the garden,..just in spots and the Hydrangeas were never damaged? :dunno:

Lori,..you got the spelling correct :),..i nearly always add the latin name but was too tired to add it to all the images,..despite our frost my Alstroemeria 'Time Valley' is still looking good.

I took cuttings from the root this year,..just cut off a section with a knife.

Not bothered by frost were my self seeded Foxgloves,..there are a lot more than in the image below and i must transplant many seeing they grew in gaps where they would not survive.

Your Asters are beautiful, mine always turn to a brown mush with all our Welsh rain so I've got rid of most of them. Nice to see they look so pretty in your garden
I must get a Phygelius , It is now on my wish list !
