All routes around here are relatively scenic. I haven't driven in five years although I keep my license renewed (every two years after 70 here).

Had the sisters about backwards. Enjoy your visit, and cake.

Yes I thought that ,after I'd posted, that your area was a very pretty one in all directions of travel.:dbgrtmb:

I haven't driven in about 30 years, but still have a current licence, but I'm not going to renew.....for the sake of all other road users!!:heehee:

Thanks will do it's a Lemon Drizzle cake.

R is now looking at me with sad puppy dog eyes saying he 'thinks' he has a cold coming and is going back to bed. He can't cope well with feeling a bit below par at all....men , bless them all.:sick0026:

Ah, yes, men and ailments! J has a clogged up ear this morning so he's rinsing with hydrogen peroxide. He is always stopped up one way or another when he wakes but then he sleeps hiding his head stuffed in feather pillows!!! I have firm allergy free Aloe Vera ones.

Hope R feels better soon. xx

          Good day
It is cloudy and a mild 52f 10c. We're going up to 64f and rain is on the menu for the late afternoon. Good thing it's going to rain today instead of in a couple of days as after Sunday, it would be snow.

I'll have some cake too please @Upsydaisy :) Actually, no. I've put on 5 pounds in the past few months from eating too many sweets so I must hit reverse.

I drive somewhere nearly every day. Mostly short trips. I am neither a timid nor aggressive driver. I stand my ground and follow the rules. Except on the highways. Then I speed a little...

I think I've figured out a pattern that I can use for that wrong way fabric. I'll just build in a bit more ease to compensate for the silly pattern direction in order to correct it. I had a super find yesterday. Earlier this week I had decided to use some fabric for a car coat and then discovered that I had only bought 1.5 yards of it which is way too little. And I know I did this because it was $30 yard and a bit rich more my wallet. Well, I stopped into the fabric shop to buy felt glue for the group project (mini ice skates) we'll be doing later this month and lo and behold, they had a leftover remnant of that very same fabric and marked down to $7.50 a yard. I now have enough for the jacket and I already have the right lining for it.

A local grocer has butter on offer for $4.44/lb so I'll zip over there to get a few and have enough for my Christmas baking. And I'll pick up a few other things so I don't have to step outside the door for shopping on the weekend.

          Cheers all :coffee:

            Good morning everyone.

The weekend is here.,and I'm going to spend all of it in our garden, with no interruptions!!

Well that's my plan :fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

Sad news yesterday my sister's gorgeous cat is seriously poorly and at the best has a couple of months left and at the worse only a few more weeks.:cry3:
We're all hoping the antibiotics will give her the boost needed to make her comfortable while granting her a little more time.:fingers crossed:
For my sister's sake I hope she makes it until after Christmas.

            Have a peaceful weekend.

Good morning all, sounds like you’ve all been busy with things this week :)

My mum had a bad fall on Thursday while crossing the road in Town centre on Thursday, she’s had to have stitches both sides of her lip, lost a front tooth, fractured her elbow and graced her leg :cry3:, she can only eat soup right now so I’ve bought her plenty different flavours, it’s only a few weeks off my brother’s wedding so she very upset, the dentist are trying to sought her with a denture for her missing tooth:sad:

Hope you all have a nice day :grphg:

Oh dear, what a start to the weekend.

Upsy, so sorry to hear of your sister's poorly cat. How old is she? What is her ailment?

Flumpy, hugs to your Mum. Did she trip or perhaps have a stroke? I worry about these things now,

No better here, J is going to the Clinic in Guia this morning (they do ER) as he is still completely deaf in the one ear (and doesn't have full hearing in the other). Not a big rush though as he is scrolling through his mobile!!! He is never full of beans in the mornings.

On the other hand, the sun is up.

Morning Vicky, no she’s didn’t have a stroke, she didn’t black out, it’s a dual carriageway in Bury, the crossing has a island in the middle (traffic lights) the floor surface has like lumps in it for blind, she caught her footing while rushing in the crowd and tripped but landed on her face and elbow, her tooth went through her lip unfortunately

                        Morning Vicky

She's 13 / 14 we think. My sister has had her for about 4 years. She use to belong to another family who emigrated.

She has severe kidney failure + infection, if the antibiotics work on the infection she could last comfortably for 2 months but if not then it's a matter of a few weeks. So sad ,she's so gorgeous.

That's one thing I absolutely refuse to do now..rush across a road, even though my knee is much more stable now.:nonofinger:

I tell hubs to go on if he's in a hurry as after experiencing my legs ,particularly my weaken knee giving way mid crossing I never ever take chances anymore.:)

J is back from the Clinic. Didn't get to see a doctor but has an appointment on Monday with the ENT Consultant I saw. Bit disappointing, but ...
