Vicky I will send my mum your flowers Thankyou :imphrt:xx

Upsydaisy that’s the problem my dad was ahead of her, he’s always in a rush to get nowhere :rolleyespink: I keep telling him he needs to link her arm, since she had the operation on her foot it’s never been right since but the specialist won’t do anything because of her age :noidea:

Yes exactly, since having bones in both feet fused too I can never really predict how they are going to behave, especially in the damp ,cooler months of Autumn/ Winter.

            Good day
It is sunny and 43f 5c. The guessers have said clouds will move in and to expect snow in the next few days. The ground is still fairly warm so whatever falls won't last long and might even melt as it hits.

A usual laundry day today for me. I'll also vacuum the cellar. It's as tidied up as it's going to get after this weeks shifting things about. Now there is a nice sitting area in front of the television which is about 12'x15' and which is carpeted because everyone knows how chilly a concrete floor can be!

Son Jim is coming over to use my computer system to scan and edit some pdf's. I have just about everything a professional office would need so it makes it easier for him to do his "paperwork" here and that way he doesn't have to invest in the adobe editing software or MS Office 365 or other costly business necessities. :blue thumb:

            Cheers :coffee:

              Good morning everyone.

Had a bad night with coughing, high temps, and blocked nose...... Payback time for not showing more sympathy towards hubs when he went down with it on Friday ;):heehee:.

Decided to get up and make a pot of Redush tea and dose myself up. There are things I want to do out in the garden while the weather is good......and change is on the way back to normal temps, so I can't afford to sit around and feel sorry for myself. I can't remember when I last had a cold :noidea:

Another lovely mild day ahead to blow away the cobwebs, looking forward to it, at the moment it's still pitch black out there.

              Have a fabulous day everyone.

              :spinning:

I need to get some more insulating sheets for my young trees, and off to get some supplies for my mum, her lip is sore and dry so going to pop round later.

Morning everyone hope your all well ? :spinning:

It is a lovely, calm sunny morning. I only heard a couple of gunshots it being hunting day, but it is a long way from us as shooting is forbidden in orchards and near houses. Very strict laws.

Sorry to hear you are feeling poorly Upsy, go easy today.

Nothing on the agenda so a quiet Sunday is planned here.

                    Good day
It is cloudy and 36c 2c. It tried to snow last night but only waffled at the job as it was mostly drizzle and now it is just raining. It will be too miserable to play outside and that coincides with the fact that pretty much everything out there is finished anyway :blue thumb:

I'm sorry to hear you're not well @Upsydaisy . I'm like you. I refuse to let an illness keep me bedridden unless it is so serious I literally can't stand up without being dizzy. And that rarely happens.:fingers crossed:

I'm doing my Hilda Ogden morning while listening to my show and finishing the main floor cleaning. Upstairs and the cellar are all done so that is all that is left, plus a few small loads of laundry. Bread dough has received it's beating and is now resting and rising.

I'll probably not be coming here as often in the future because I use the spy or new thread function a lot to see what's new and unfortunately, lately, the list seems populated with items that don't interest me. I prefer actual conversations. Mainly wintertime members showing up now I guess so just a sad part of the winter doldrums.:dunno:

                    Cheers all :coffee:

I totally agree with you Lori, and @pete started a thread regarding it. I only have perhaps a half dozen threads I visit. I hope you will still come on this thread to let us know what you are doing.

I am not saying 'good' as we have no internet/landline since last night. J has been connected to a mobile. Silly how lost you feel when not connected to the world.

Upsy, I imagine you are still in bed feeling poorly as you are not here.

J leaves about 11ish for his ENT appointment. It is at the same hospital in Portimao where I went for my non-existent ultrasound. It is about a half hour's journey.

Spent hours in The Baffa yesterday watching afternoon TV, McMilllan and Wife, Knight Rider.

                        Have a good day everyone.

                          Good day
Sorry to hear your internet is down @Victoria. Kinda scares me hearing that as I do not have data on my mobile and I would be totally cut off in your situation :yikes:

I hope @Upsydaisy is relaxing with a cuppa and all snuggled under the blankets. Sometimes we have to give in if only for a short stretch in order to recover.

@Flumpy I hope your day is not as frustrating as the sound of most shifts that you've had recently.

It is still pretty dark here and 27f -3C. The weather bonanza is definitely over but I certainly enjoyed having the extended period of mild weather.

I've got some patterns cut out and decided to add lining to one item so will be back at cutting again. There's a top that I think I can colour block. I've never made the pattern before and it is a bit "funky" so if it doesn't turn out okay, I'll quietly bin it :heehee:

                          Cheers :coffee:

                            Hi Vicky & Lori

Upsydaisy if you are poorly, hope you get well soon :hapflower:
Vicky I bought my mum some flowers and sent everyone’s well wishes, she looked slightly better and swelling going down slowly, plenty rest and being spoilt by us all is needed :dbgrtmb:.

Lori, did you get the material you wanted ?

Oh, @Flumpy you'll laugh. I found the exact same fabric plus it was on offer cheap. And when I laid the pattern on the fabric, I found out that the original piece I had was already enough. So there will also be a coordinating cowl neck top and an interesting pullover style.

I made a cowl neck out of the other wintery fabric but I probably won't wear it in public!

                              Thank you for asking. :)

Morning everyone, just a quick stop by to say hello.

I won't linger as my head feels like it's about to explode ,so avoiding all screens at the mo. It's the hacking cough that's causing the headache. I 've woken up this morning feeling ( haven't checked it yet ) that my temperature is back to normal....so all is heading along the right track.

Hope you're all fine today.Have a good one.
                                :spinning:
