We just had Portuguese Muffins (made with Yams instead of Flour) with scrambled eggs and T'other Half had an Iceland square sausage with his.

Made some sausages. I was going to smoke them but have run out of charcoal, so they will just be cured but unsmoked.

I just smoke ordinary baccy, I think sausages would be difficult to light.

Tonight's tea was a simple but superb one. Steamed salmon and salad spuds, with stir fried carrots, green beans, mini sweetcorn and asparagus. Delicious and simple.

For our lunch today I did something similar to @Clueless 1 v2 although I made a lightly spiced lentil soup to start.

Main was:- pan fried salmon, salad spuds, French beans blanched and tossed in butter, oven roasted sweet potato, red onions, tomatoes, sweet red peppers, aubergines and fennel, all of which were lightly drizzled in olive oil, seasoned and a touch of sumac sprinkled on the top.

I had hot smoked sweet chilli salmon with new potatoes onion and sweet pepper.
Seems today was a salmon day.

Today I shall do chicken livers (cleaning them is a bit of a pain) pan fried in butter and served on Portobello mushrooms that have been pan fried with caramelised onions and a touch of garlic. Then covered in a cream sauce made from mixing the juices from the pans and adding the cream and a very light touch of brandy.

It will take me about 30 minutes to prep the food (I'm fussy about doing the livers) and about 15 minutes to cook, plus two minutes to do the sauce.

I could be a heathen and serve it with chips  :roflol:

Squirrel. That's if those wascally things keep invading the bird feeder! Okay, for real, today will be spaghetti with meat sauce. I make my own sauce because I like it to be thick.

@shiney I made chicken liver pate the other day and remembered to use your tips on making it tasty. Thanks again!
