    Good day
It is cloudy and 23f -5c. The guessers say we're still going to get a dump of snow but so far, we've had maybe only an inch!

I'm watching my Corrie this morning and will be getting the linens laundered while it is airing. Oldest boy, Jim is coming by with youngest granddaughter later. She is the one that went back with mom to live as she got home sick and being 12, it is a time when young girls need their mom. Her sister, one of my 14 going on 15 soon granddaughters, will be staying at home (his) because she seems to have picked up a bug somewhere and is being kept away from everyone. Sad that she's not well (like @Upsydaisy ) but good that she is being isolated. :dbgrtmb:

@Michael Hewett I love cats too and their distinct personalities. Before I found out about my allergies, and for many years, I had cats. One like to hear the toilet flush and so when I wanted to go out, to keep it from sneaking out on my heels, I'd flush the toilet and then run like heck out the door while the cat was running the other way to watch the bowl!

    On with my morning now.

    Cheers :coffee:

We have to be as devious as them don't we :heehee:

I'm in the middle of watching Songs of Praise (I do sometimes) and it's showing a service in Worcester cathedral, where everyone could bring their pets. There are all sorts of animals there. It's bringing tears to my eyes remembering all the pets I've had and loved over the years.
It doesn't matter what your beliefs are, animals are just as much part of the world as we are, and I believe we must respect them, and love them, and give thanks/be grateful for them

        Hello everyone,

I hope you've all had an enjoyable day. We've been very fortunate with the weather here today, blues ,cloudless skies and sunshine...we'll be paying the price tonight I expected. Brr!!

I am feeling a bit clearer in the head and chest today, it's just the lingering muscle ache from all the coughing....gosh I feel like I 've done a round in a boxing bout !!!

I enjoyed a short potter in the garden this afternoon, just trimming back a few bits, and sorting out the Giant Lillie pots.

        Have a pleasant,restful evening everyone.

It's nice to see you up and about @Upsydaisy !

Giant lillies - is that like a tree lily? I just bought some of those bulbs this fall and am quite excited for spring.

Morning everyone, I've woken up with a bad sore throat...can't believe it!! :wallbanging:

We're in for a grey ,dark and damp day ...just to add to my joy!

No Lori they're not tree Lilies...just called Giant on the pkt when I bought them 4 years ago , and compared to the other white ones that we have in the garden the blooms are definitely more giant sized. :dbgrtmb:

Morning all. It is very grey here and may rain later.

J's car is booked to be repaired tomorrow for he accident months ago and he plans to take it in later today and John will meet him there to bring him back.. I think he said about picking up something so he can get my new computer up and running.

My plant(s) from Italy are to be delivered today. That is if we get a call from GLS the courier, then J will meet at the Parish Office in Algoz (7kms away) where our Post Box is.

Good thing J did not meet Donald for lunch the other day as he has come down with Covid too.

Morning @Flumpy ....to be honest ( and I'm not one to dwell on common winter ailments (as I rarely get them) but no definitely not 'just' a cold . I won't go into all the symptoms I've suffered as people are enjoying their breakfast.....but I can say I've experienced everything!!;)
Hubs was bad for one day and still had a bit of a cough when experiencing 2 different temps , coming in from outside. I still can't get a decent lungfull of breath without making interesting wheezing noises and even the simplest tasks take my breath away still
                    and now this sore throat.

So I really hope I'm not coming across a bit of a whimp.. but personally speaking, nope not 'just ' a cold.....imo.
                    :)

                      Morning Karen.
Yes, it was a couple of months ago the fender bender but it is an old car (15 years I think) so the parts had to be ordered.
Donalds's wife Brenda tested positive on Wednesday which is why they cancelled. They had been to an Adre Reiu concert in Lisbon at the weekend!
Shock, horrors ... just hot a call from GLS the Courier and they are already in Algoz so J has had to jump up (we don't get out of bed till 9am), dress and race out the door!!!
Have a good day at work.

That's my concern too as I've always been prone to Chest infections, and like you I usually had to have a couple of courses of antibiotics as well. My concern now is with this new diagnosis of low immunity, as you age things hit you more severely and you take longer to bounce back .
