      Good day
It is 26f -3c and still dark but the television guessers say that it will again be a mix of sun and clouds so not bad at all for this time of year.

@Victoria the plant didn't go to Sam, she has a weenie flat so no room. It went to Emily (almost 15 year old). She and her cousin Violet are only two weeks apart in age and I felt they were mature enough to take care of some family heirlooms. This month I gave each of them some jewelry and they were thrilled. Plus a silver pin for Violet that is a V- it was my mother's and her name was Vera. I made up the difference with another pin for Emily. I try to be fair and never give more to one grandchild than another.

@Flumpy I actually have to work today. A client is dropping off some window treatments for me to customize to her windows and I need to get the adjustments done today as tomorrow I will be starting to get ready for company on thursday (9 ladies) and company on friday (1 fellow) and they are all coming for lunch. Lots of prep to do tomorrow.

I need the work as I have spent money I don't have. I ordered some finger plates for three of my doors and they are not cheap plus the shipping is quite expensive. They are being sent from England. Plus I have a DIY project in mind.

I was eyeing some wood yesterday at the lumber place. I had gone there for some work supplies and am still thinking about making a beach sling chair. It will be a fun winter project. [IMG] Something like one of these.

@Upsydaisy I hope your old symptoms subside and no new ones show up. Enough of this sickness already. You're too nice a person for this nonsense!

Cheers and thank you for the birthday wishes :coffee:

Ah, a deck chair. We fancied a couple of Cape Cod chairs when our works were being done, but I thought they might be too low for me to get out of.

They are ok if your legs are raised, my parents used to have some and they used to dig in the back of my legs.

Lori hope you’ve not worked to hard today, I could get use to this time off, I’ll keep trying the lottery :heehee:

                Good morning everyone.

I have decided that my new image theme will be picturesque Autumn ones of places in the Uk that I could easily escape to ....and happily hibernate !

This is Castleton Village in the Peak District.

                Have a good day.

Good morning Upsydaisy, lovely Picture, we also have a Castleton village next to Rochdale, but it definitely doesn’t look as pretty as that, how you feeling today ?

                    Morning @Flumpy.

No unfortunately it's not the same place, that's a shame.

I 'm not talking or thinking about ailments anymore..when I start to feel better I will undoubtedly know it. Positive thoughts only.:dbgrtmb:

                    .....but thanks for asking anyway.

Morning all. Lovely picture Upsy. I am still into my Topiary Cats.

The sun is breaking through and it promises to be a sun/cloud day going to 21c,

J got my new computer up and running but still fiddles with it every few hours! He will return my other to the shop for repairs (three years warranty) then use it himself. He is using his mobile, an older laptop and another laptop with a big separate screen in the offfice. Mine are Notebooks (small laptops).

I am angry with myself ... yesterday I let an Arcopal plate slip off my lap and it shattered. All our floors are ceramic tile. It was part of a service. I can count the number of things I have broken in my life on one hand! Grrrr!

I have to sort my Brexit Permanent Residency Biocard appointment today.

Morning Vicky, awww that's a shame but ,as annoying as it is, you mustn't blame yourself..accidents happen when you least expect them and always catch you off guard.

                        What happens at the appointment?

Love the Topiary cats, hopefully I will source enough pics to take me through until the end of Nov...then who knows what my next theme will be... maybe Christmas!!!;)

                        Enjoy your day.xx

                            Morning Upsy and Flumpy.

Had a big choice for the appointment, dates and times, so we chose 11am on Wednesday, 21 December. I chose Loule over Portimao (the only options in Algarve, as Donald and Brenda went there and said it was quick (10 minutes) and simple. They go over your details, you show them various documents, they take your photo and fingerprint and you sign and Bob's Your Uncle! Then you get plastic card like the Driving License in the post.

Gosh, December is filling up, 5th my Ultrasound, 13th hair cut, 15th Neurosurgeon then Biocard on the 21st!

The plate was white. Thankfully it wasn't the service with small blue and yellow flowers, but both sets intermingle.

                                Good day
I'm a bit late here. It is up to 32f 0c and the sun is lovely. The guessers say that it will be a little above freezing everyday for the rest of the week and that will melt whatever snow tried to stick around.

I've just been out and filled the bird feeder and it was easy peasy because the ground is frozen so I could stand right in the raised bed next to it and not sink in.

@Upsydaisy I hope you turn that corner soon as this must be very frustrating for you to have it go on so long! @Victoria is Arcopal the prettier/fancier version of Corelle? I use Corelle in the kitchen because it is so good about going into the microwave, etc.

@Flumpy I hope your vacay is uneventful and very relaxing :)

I'd best get started on things here. I will be doing my Hilda Ogden and cleaning the main floor. Then getting the kitchen and dining rooms set up for tomorrow's company. I'm going to cover the dining table with brown paper to try to protect it from our crafting spills. And then I need to get the coffee and tea centers sorted. Just getting the fiddly stuff out of the way.

Cheers all, including your @Michael Hewett ! :coffee:
