@Michael Hewett I'm glad you got your printer situation sorted.

I have now finished with the dentist until my next check up 9 months from now. My doctor prescribed some super gel for my hands so they will start healing and I have had my prolia shot. So done with the doctor for 6 months - until my next shot. :)

        Good morning.

As it's now the meteorological start of Winter I have decided that more lovely snowy pics are a must.

This beautiful snowy scene is in Chipping Camden in the Cotswolds . It makes the suffering of feeling cold so very worthwhile .

Glad you're all sorted now with your printer Michael. I can recall you posting on your creative Christmas gift making talents before and I'm very much looking forward to seeing your pics of this years makes.:)

Might have to pop into Southampton again today but as yet it's not a definite. If we do then we will probably eat out as well.

If we don't go then it's back to my Dahlias instead :).

        Have a good day too.

Morning all. The sun is up and promises to be a nice day but rain is forecast for all of next week and beyond ... hmmmmm!

As yesterday was a National holiday, nothing happened ... no DHL deliveries, no Internet, no car repairs finished ... maybe today. I won't hold my breath.

          Enjoy your day everyone.

            Morning Vicky.

Wow! I've just had a Google to see what your holiday was ....you get a lot of national holidays!!, especially compared with our measly amount!!

Fingers crossed that something kicks into action for you today :fingers crossed:.

            Have a good day.:)

Morning Upsy. Yes, we have 13 National holidays when most things close or don't operate, except big shops. These are typically Religious. Some Garden Centres even close How dare they!). There are then various Regional holidays (we don't have any/many).

MEO says we should be online by 8pm tonight. J is going to chase his car up at last ... he took it in the Monday before last!

You have a nice day but don't fancy your Southampton trip. xx

Yes we're just about to set off. Actually the atmosphere is great in town with the various Christmas Markets, live music and the yummy aroma of Hog Roasts on the spit. We tend to steer away from street food though and will eat elsewhere.:blue thumb: xx

                  Good day
Being still dark I can't tell if there are clouds or not and it is 28f -2c. A bit nippy putting the recycle to the kerb this morning.

I am going to have a relaxing Hilda Ogden morning and this afternoon only a few shops to visit to replenish my multrigrain and rye flour supplies and do my gambling -cheapie lotto tickets that is.

My mouth feels great with my new fillings and it is only my right shoulder that aches. I think that is because the dentist's knees were pressing into the joint as he had to be in close to work and that would be for a total of nearly 4 hours. That ache too, will go away.

I got my prolia shot in my belly and my doctor prescribed something for my hands. He said they are too badly damaged to heal by just using oodles of moisturizer. He said the new stuff will heal them in about 10 days. :fingers crossed:

Holy smokes, that is a lot of holidays! This is our statutory holidays that everyone is entitled to.

@Upsydaisy what are you doing with your dahlias please? I saved tubers from last year and am wondering if I should be doing something with them right now!

I've decided it's a bit too late for this year. I don't do rushing any more (never could to be honest) so people will get bought cards, and my own next year.
I may do a few for new year or Easter.
I want to make coasters fridge magnets and key rings. I've got the blank ones ready so only need to do the pictures. I may send those with the Easter or new year cards.
(Probably Easter, it gives me more time ... and new year is a bit too near Christmas isn't it)

You must be pleased you have no more doctor or dentist appointments for a while @CanadianLori .

Hi Lori, well most get left in the ground as described yesterday in my post. The ones that I had in pots this year were checked over and returned to their pots with fresh ( dry ( ish) compost and then stored in the insulated enclosure with in our greenhouse....That's all . I am hoping to find them a permanent home in the borders next year, although I may keep one or two in pots as they make handy portable gap fillers.:blue thumb:

A lot here dig theirs up as they daren't chance leaving them in. We're fortunate to live in on the south coast and so far ( hope I"m not jinxing things now :fingers crossed:) as long as I take my time covering them properly I haven't lost a single one.:fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

                            Good morning everyone.

Beautiful Edinburgh today. Have to admit that we've never been up there in the snowy season , only in the Spring and Summer months.

Had a nice wander around the Christmas markets in town yesterday, we decided to go back sometime in late afternoon/ early evening to see everything lit up and sparkling.

Unfortunately there was an accident going and coming back so traffic was slow moving, just hoping that nobody was hurt.

Going to brave it in a minute to collect some Autumn/ Winter offerings from our garden to make a little floral display to place on my parents grave as it would've been Mum's 92nd birthday today...just can't imagine her being that old..forever 75 to us.

Popping into the post office on the way back to stock up on stamps...I will be begrudgingly parting with my pennies.....95p for 1st class and 68p for 2nd!! :yikes:

When I've recovered from the shock I plan to write up ( and save for sending later) my Christmas emails.

                            Have a brilliant day everyone.

Wakey, wakey all! The sun is up and there is a breeze but 10c, going to 17c today but rain in on the cards for the afternoon.

Gosh, postage has really gone up! Ours is reportedly the lowest in Europe and last I remember reading it was 57c for 20g in June. However, we never send anything by post ... well, I had to do my Passport to UK and that was under 2 Euros.

J's car may be ready Tuesday. Apparently the wrong bumper was sent. It is bumper and fender and repaint.

Still no Internet. That's okay if you don't want to communicate with the outside world.

I had confirmation yesterday of my Monday morning Ultrasound. Still two days to go so keep everything crossed for me it is not cancelled for the third time.

                                Good day
It is cloudy and mild 48f 8c. Unbelievable for this time of year and I'm all for it!

Our postage has gone up too but I still think it is a far better deal than a courier service could ever be. I just mailed some cards to England and since they were for overseas, the postage was a bit pricey but still worth every penny.

I've got laundry on the go, as usual for a Saturday morning. I haven't decided what else I will be doing on this dreary day. I really should get some of my sewing projects finished as this week is going to be a busy busy one.

                                Cheers all :coffee:
