Ok that's enough snow for now I've decided this week will be ....... Sunshine Week!! Much needed by all.....well except for Vicky.

Today is looking pretty grey and gloomy with a high of 6C.

The stamps are all bought and safely locked away in the safe along with the other valuables ;) ( I wish). I have recovered from the price shock and live to survive another Christmas.:blue thumb:

Wrote up and saved all my Christmas emails ,these will be send out later with an accompanying e-card.

Noted up on the calendar what and when things need doing by.... Video calls, coffee catch ups, visit to my Aunt and Uncle (Aunt will be 90 during the festivities.) Order flowers to be delivered to her while we're away. Must buy a cake to take round and share with her before we go too.

Must remember to remind my sister to place a Christmas posy on our parents grave on Christmas Eve, something that I normally do from all of us.

I'm only away for a week but I must admit that I becoming panicked that I may have forgotten someone or something important, that I can't rectify later.

I have 'post- it' notes stuck everywhere!!:heehee:

Today I have a few housework chores to do that I normally do on Mondays but this week I have a friend visiting instead.

Hope you all have a restful Sunday.

I had a pretty sleepless night, dozing here and there. The reason ... there is something wrong with Van. He went out yesterday morning but came back and went into the Igloo under the lounge chair in the window alcove in the bedroom. He surfaced lunch time and went out for a couple of hours. Then he came in and went into their bed by the fire. Then he went out for a brief spell and came in and went into the Igloo. He did not have his dinner ... unheard of ... he did not rush for his "midnight snack" when it goes down at 10.30 ... unheard of ... he did not lie on J's lap watching telly last night ... he did not come to bed with me ... he spent all night in in Igloo. At 7.45am this morning he started heaving so he got out of the Igloo. He did not bring anything up. He went with J into the kitchen but did not eat breakfast ... unheard of! I think he is now in the spare room/J's room/office. We are not letting him out. J is doing his "morning scrolling" on his phone. I am fretting. Thanks for listening. xx

It is sunny and bright going to 18c with rain forecast this afternoon and forever.

I will have my Sunday soak in the tub and fret the rest of the day.

        Nice Day Boo.jpeg

Awww Vicky that is a bit concerning about poor Van. Do you think he may have found and eaten something unsavoury outside?

Are the Veterinary surgeries open on Sundays?

          Please keep us posted.

Sending hugs to you both and a gentle one for Van too :grphg:xx

Good morning all, Guessing you missed my post yesterday, it was only small.

Awe Vicky Is Ban the same cat that wasn’t well a while back? Hope it’s nothing serious, no wonder you’ve not slep

I watched the Titanic film last night while hubby was on his works meal and a few drinks.

popping to the garden centre today looking at Xmas decorations as next week we maybe snowed under (maybe a little exaggerated) but it’s meant to snow from next Thursday to Sunday, not looking forward to driving to and from work in that.

Morning Upsy and Karen. Sorry Karen I read your post and thought I had acknowledged it!

Yes, Van is the one who was ill and this is what I was/am concerned about. I noticed a couple of bites on the nape of his neck so of course have Flea Virus on the brain. They are dosed monthly with dual purpose meds. Yes, Vets will see you on a Sunday for an emergency.

In the meantime he ventured out of hiding and ate a little wet and dry food, had a poo and has gone back hiding under the sofabed. Bless him. :cat-kittyandsmiley: We'll see how the day goes. Munch went out for a brief wander but she is back on the bed now ... having visited us both whilst we were having our Sundays Soaks.:cat-kittyandsmiley:

It is a shame Van feels poorly as he loves being out and normally is from 8am to 8pm except visits for lunch and dinner. It has been sunny all morning and now there is some cloud and quite breezy.

Aawe glad to hear he’s a little better, he must be feeling slightly better, I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for him :cat-kittyandsmiley:, How is your husbands friend John doing ? And wife ?
I went back to work last Monday and two staff have been working poorly one feeling sick and week legs and the other with a head cold and aching all over, she said I hope it’s not contagious what ever I’ve got :rolleyespink: why come in then :wallbanging:, if I can’t function (especially with this job) I don’t come in (which is not often) last one was Covid.

                  Good day
It is 28f 2c and looks like it will be the first sunny day in what seems forever!

@Flumpy I agree with you that if a person is not well, stay the heck home!

@Victoria before my pets died of old age and I discovered my allergy to the little furry creatures, I used to fret terribly when they got sick and I felt so helpless. Make me wish we could teach them sign language so they could tell us what is wrong.

@Upsydaisy I'm sure you won't have forgotten anything/anyone and all will go well.

I'm hosting Christmas again this year so I don't have to go anywhere. I've made my usual list of cookies and things to bake. I repeat this each year because I put ticks beside the ones that are finished as I go along so as not to miss anything. There are 16 types of treats to go on the trays and the only thing made so far is the Christmas cake. @Michael Hewett I also think I'm going to use your recipe to make your recipe for (oh, stupid me forgot the name but I do have it printed) a sweet loaf to also give to those near and dear.

My show is on in a few minutes so have a lovely Sunday all and cheers :coffee:

Thanks Karen. xx John has tested Negative at last thankfully but had to miss a Recital he was playing (piano) in last night. Sadly his partner died 18 months ago. The other couple we know, Brenda and Donald, are also both negative now.

I am pleased it is not just me. J is cool as a cucumber about it. I have to know where they are at all times. Currently he has gone to the lounge chair in the window alcove in the bedroom and she is on the bed . They have to stay in today and J has lit the fire.

Enjoy your outing Karen and Upsy and Lori have a pleasant Sunday.

It's me too, I just go into a blind panick when something is wrong with a pet. I know several others who are the same. It's horrible isn't it.
I hope Van will be all right.

Sunny pics suit Me @Upsydaisy

It is me who has the appointment tomorrow for an Ultrasound on my neck.
Van has really perked up and is right now lying on J's lap having had a late lunch. :cat-kittyandsmiley: Munch is in their bed by the fire, :cat-kittyandsmiley: It is raining lightly now so we are keeping them in till we get back from the Clinic tomorrow.
                            Yummy, yummy, yummy.

I only keep two medium trays for my entertaining. I'm giving out 14 trays of cookies to family and good friends. This is me cutting down to around 100 dozen rather than 150 dozen. I used to bake cookies for casual friends but now I realize that it is a one way relationship as some had the nerve to show up at the door looking for their tray and not come in even though I had seen them at the pub a few days earlier. Cheeky to say the least!

@Victoria thank you for the good news about Van. That cheered me up!:dbgrtmb:

Oh don't they play you up ! I'm glad Van seems better, and hope it stays that way.
I remember a previous cat called Blodyn who became unwell on a Christmas Day one year, curled up on a chair and not eating or looking at anyone - totally out of character. I was going to call the vet on Boxing day but by then she was back to normal. It ruined Christmas Day ! :heehee::cat-kittyandsmiley: but what a relief it was to see her back to normal.
