YAWN, YAWN, WAKEY, WAKEY - 2022

Well, he's had his dinner and cleaned her dish too ... back to normal.
We have been having a thunder/lightning storm for the past hour, with associated rain.

 

I just had an image of your cat washing his own bowl , so glad he’s a lot better, onwards and upwards

 

That's such good news Vicky about Van, what a worrying time he gave you.. I suppose cats have their 'off' days just as we do.

Hope all goes well with your Ultrasound this morning, I'm certain it will as they're normally pretty straightforward.

I have a friend coming over this morning which will be nice. Then I hope...no..I will go into the garden this afternoon and finish sorting out the remaining Dahlias.

I called our middle offspring yesterday and he and his girlfriend have had Covid all week. She sounded awful as she also has Tonsillitis too. Thankfully they should be fine by Christmas as they are planning on going to her parents in France and then on to Milan for New Year. Keeping for them too.

Life with cats can be a roller coaster ride!

We had thunder and lightening for an hour and a half yesterday. We don't remember so much in years. Lots and lots and lots of rain and through the night heavy bursts. We are under an orange warning for rain and yellow for thunderstorms ... great when we have to go out in it!!! It is dark and raining now. Sigh!

I am sure today will be fine. I have been on the Atorvastatin for three months so my veins should be nice and clean.

Van seems back to normal still. I too thought they must have off days Upsy. But he looked spaced out as if he didn't know us ... maybe he fell on his head? Here he is being normal ...

... he then migrates and lies the length of J's legs.

I'll come back later. Should be home before noon.

I have socks like J's, different colour for each day!!

 

We're home ... drenched!!! And now the rain is easing up naturally!!!

Dr Jean-Louis Marie Leandre Daquet (I jest you not ... French) told J (who was invited in with me) that I have the arteries of a young woman ... and J said that I am a young woman. Dr Daquet told me that he sees absolutely no blockages and everything is clear. So, I continue with my balance exercises and I am doing well if I say so myself.

So now I see Dr Beuno, Neurologist, on Thursday the 15th, tell him I have cut the tablets in half so only taking 20mg a day, and see where I go from there.

I hope my Sunshine idea is having a positive effect and that you're all feeling warmer.
My snow idea was NOT a good one.


Now that I feel fully over my cold bug I'm off to visit my brother this morning. It will be good to see him in person as I can suss out how he's really doing better than I can via a video call.

Then an afternoon vacuuming all of upstairs awaits me on my return. What have I done to deserve such an exciting life.

It is 26f -3c and I think it is cloudy.

@Victoria I am so happy to hear you're as young inside as you feel!

I've got a friend coming today. I usually bake buns and a sweet dessert for him to take home so I have that to do before he gets here. Today's sweet will be buttertarts. And I'm going to be lazy and just make Coney fries for lunch and we'll have some of the buns to go with that.

I have a pretty piece of fabric with gold woven into it that I will wash up to pre-shrink and to use to make a couple of glittery tops for the two 14 year old granddaughters. I don't think I will get to sewing until next week but just in case I have free time before then, the fabric will be prepped and ready. end of Monday....

Now for Tuesday,
It is very mild this morning, 42f 5c and I can't see any stars so it must be cloudy. I had lovely dreams. I went to a seed place and was shopping aisles and aisles of flower and vegetable seeds.

Lunch went well yesterday except for the butter tarts. My pre-cut rounds of pastry that I had frozen, had all managed to dry out and were not salvageable. My baguettes and buns that I baked to send home with my friend turned out well so it all evened out.

I've got a Hilda Ogden morning and while wearing my head gear I will be clearing out the freezers of things that are beyond best by. Then I need to go a few places to pick up things I ordered and that are ready for pick up.

Good morning everyone, how are you all today?

Had a good day yesterday , it was a gorgeous Winter's day , full sunshine ,a clear and cloudless blue sky......and cold!

Visit went well with my brother and he seemed in good spirits. He did leave us to go and have his dinner ,as usual, but that's fine we have accepted the fact that he can't understand the fact that he can go whenever he wants within a given time frame...he insists he has to be there at 12, bless him.

We are visiting some friends that live nearby this afternoon, looking forward to seeing them both very much.

We're in for a nippy day / night....maybe not by Lori's standards. Definitely by mine!!!

But hey it's Winter so it's expected.

Morning all. It is dark and grey and rainy here for which we are grateful.

Still no internet, still no plant, still no car. Amazon says if plant doesn't come by the 9th I can claim full refund ... but I want plant! The repair dealer called last night and said now they have the wrong fog light!!!

Thank you Lori. I mentioned to him about going for the appointment ad the equipment was down, He apologised and said he was very annoyed as it happened to him four times but they have replaced the machine now. He is a Peripatetic Doctor.

It is cloudy and again, a very mild 40f 4c. I'm really loving this as I haven't had to shovel this year other than a teensy bit off the front porch and walkway a few weeks back.

@Victoria that has to be frustrating to have so many things either down or wrong parts so repairs can't be performed. I hope this is you getting the last of this year's annoyances sorted and maybe it should count as next year's too!

I got my errands done yesterday. Today I meet my friends for lunch and a show at a place that employs people who have challenges. A very good thing! I'm really looking forward to this as we wanted to do this earlier this year and just couldn't coordinate the meet up. They serve the lunch then we walk over to the show and after, return for tea
