I spoke too soon ... it is totally overcast and raining quite heavily now. :yay:

Edit: That didn't last long, maybe 15 minutes, the sun is back now.

Just home after being out since 8:30 this morning, still very cold and frosty out there.
We're in for another -7C night tonight. :yikes:

It's a beautiful day though with blue skies and sunshine.:SUNsmile:

I've just read back on posts and realised that we are particularly cold here ,especially overnight compared to most. So much for thinking us southerners have a milder time!! Not true!!!

My sister lives a 10 minute walk away and it's definitely milder there.

Going out and coming back this morning ( walking obviously) we could feel the temperature drop as soon as we turned off from the residential area and headed up our lane.
So yes Pete you're probably right.

2:45pm and we're still frosted over here.

Brrrrr ... glad the horse has its coat on! After another downpour, the sun is back and it is breezy with 17c.

It was slightly milder today, the frost cleared by mid morning unlike yesterday.

Temperature is dropping now, forecast -6c tonight.

-5c for us tonight. Its forecast to be below or close to freezing all week and I have yet to get some veg from the allotment for our early Xmas Dinner next weekend. Nipped in today to have a look and the ground was frozen solid at lunchtime. Parsnips might be out but the sprouts should be pickable at least

The frost didn't clear away here either today! We had only 2C for our max today! Tonight we are forecast -2C again. But even 2 consecutive nights of below zero temps the Nasturtiums are still growing as if they were hardy plants yet the Pansies on the balcony railing were drooping as if they were dry!

We were forecast some possible rain showers during the night but they never happened! Just as well! The morning began very cloudy but after a couple of hours they disappeared & we had another very sunny day - though very cold!

                                Tomorrow rinse & repeat!
