Evri - the new Hermes, what a joke! I've had problems with them too. A couple of months ago I requested a pick up for a parcel I was returning, but there was no acknowledgement from them that they'd received the request. Two weeks on still no sign of them, so I made a claim through my bank for the price of the item without any issue. Almost a month later Evri turned up, out of the blue, to pick up the parcel. It's just as well I hadn't binned it as it was faulty.

DX Express is my bugbear. I assume it is just the driver in our area but he delivers my parcels to any house in the village with the number 20, except ours. The galling thing is, our small cul-de-sac has a postcode all to ourselves.

We send out through Evri because it is the nearest and cheapest way and our recipients always get them within two days :fingers crossed:. Being books they are much easier to deliver.

When I sent back a package recently (picked up by their courier) the courier was a bit surprised that I insisted on taking a photo of him with the parcel in his hands. They do it with us to show they have delivered so I don't see why we can't do it. :)

We used to break up on the afternoon on the 23rd and be back at school on the 2nd. Easter was just the Friday to Monday but summer hols were 10 weeks with being kicked out of the house after breakfast and being told not to come home until 6 p.m. How things have changed :)

Back in 1967, I was working in Ferranti, in Edinburgh. We got the first two weeks in July off, plus Christmas Day and the 1st and 2nd of January.

Our Internet and landline have been non-functioning for three weeks now. T'other Half is daily contacting MEO our suppler and the entity who owns them and is getting a song and dance. In the meantime he is paying on the mobiles so we can operate to an extent. Every day we are told "by 8pm tonight", there is a major issue. He just drove up the road a couple of kilometers to discover the following ... with no one working. I am sure the Armazen das Frutas (Citrus Warehouse) is not happy either. There are a half dozen such warehouses in this area.

That's not good, people moan about the broadband service over here but I dont think they would leave stuff like that, they would have to give you a massive refund if they did.
