    Good day
Being dark I don't know if there are clouds or not but it is above freezing 33f 1c ! What's going on? Did we swap weather with you lot over there?? A storm has been promised for later.

I've got all of my jars of cranberry sauce labeled and ready to give out. I made some just normal and a bunch with chillies in it. I call the chillie batch, "Gobbler's Revenge" and it is one of my most asked for treats.

I'm coordinating tomorrow morning's errand running by printing off maps (yes, I prefer print to tomtom) and I have 7 stops to make in the morning. Two are to pick up used clothes irons. These are just the simple hand held steam irons with no boiler. The oldest one will be for hobby stuff. The newer one will be for granddaughter. She doesn't have one and sewing without one of those is difficult.

I'm dropping off two of the Christmas trays and then handing one to my friend when we meet for breakfast at our usual spot. She is going to be thrilled as I also put a commemorative Queen Elizabeth pin on her tray too. The pin was sold by our Royal Canadian Legion so it is not a cheapie trinket.

I finished the bookmarks yesterday and three of them are for my local librarians. I'll go see them next week. They are lovely and helpful. This library branch now has a 3d printer so I'll probably be seeing more of these nice ladies.

    Cheers :coffee:

Morning Lori. I love cranberry sauce and prefer the chunky to jelly.

You sure have a busy and fulfilling day ahead so enjoy.

@Flumpy this is like being in the twilight zone as we have been warmer than you! :hate-shocked:

@Victoria yes, I just make the jam like sauce using fresh cranberries. This year I used just over 4 pounds of them. And they certainly do not go to waste :)

                  Morning all. :)

Another chilly start but only a couple more to go before things start to get a little warmer.

We're off out early this morning to do a spot of grocery shopping ( :help:) before I leave hubs to go home by himself and do all the unpacking and storing away ().

I'm meeting up with a friend in town for a mince pie and coffee and a pre Christmas natter.

I'm a tad wary underfoot at the moment due to our very icy conditions , so slowly ,slowly does it. :blue thumb:

                  Keep snuggly.

Panic!!!:yikes: Just received an e-mail that our train up to London has been cancelled.:wallbanging:.

I will stop off at the station to confirm our options of the next available one. :fingers crossed:

                      Morning all.

Horrors Upsy!!! You don't need this. Enjoy the shopping  and snack and chatter with your friend ... and be careful walking. Will answer your e-mail later. xx

Got home about 6.30 last evening bringing KFC tender strips with us for dinner. KFC is across the way from the Clinic so very convenient. Appointment went well. He asked lots of questions of how I have been these past months. Had me walk unaided :hate-shocked: and stood with me lightly holding my hands making me close and open my eyes, the third time for about 10 seconds, I guess a balance test. :dunno: He looked at Eco results and was surprised all arteries were clear as he would have thought there was blockage having had the mini strokes. He said it was okay that I cut the prescription to half dose and could continue and still take Aspirin daily. He said Atorvastatin and Aspirin were for life. He gave another prescription, said to continue to exercise daily and see him again in six months. So happy with that. Atorvastatin is 3.80 Euros for 28 tablets. Aspirin is expensive here and you cannot buy such things in grocery stores. Dr Beuno put this on SNS prescription, 28 150mg for 80 cents. J doesn't know what he pays for 60 100mg but I will find out. Funny, in America you can by them in Dollar Stores by the 1000!!!

Still not connected. Man coming this morning about alternate Internet but we will have to keep landline with MEO who was PT (Portugal Telecom) J thinks but this is being investigated as well.

Weather calm and sun trying to break through, showers forecast for later.

                        Good day
It is 38f 3c - yes, another above freezing day in December! If this is global warming, I'm all for it!

I have 10 stops to do today with one of them being to just sit, relax and enjoy the company of a good friend while having breakfast. She sews too and has lots of great advice she shares because she had training in a tailor's shop and is very advanced with clothing fabrication compared to me.

I'm picking up 3 gently used irons at different locations, dropping off 3 trays of Christmas cookies also at different locations and stopping at 3 separate retailers to pick up orders. I hope to be back by 2ish this afternoon.

It's only 5:45 so I have an hour or so to relax and read the news before getting myself in gear to clean up and go out.

                        Cheers :coffee:

Good morning everyone....the weekend is here and we're warming up, albeit very slowly.

Didn't get any joy at the station yesterday as there was a strike on and nobody was around.

So we are planning on going for the next train at 2:15pm ...but...that too may get cancelled so I will have to keep checking the ever changing timetable out several times a day right up to an hour before we head off.

                          Nail biting times ahead!!!

                          upload_2022-12-16_20-53-10.png

On a more positive note I had a great catch up with a friend yesterday...a couple of coffees and a ' few' cakes helped to keep our strength up to maintain our chatting levels!!:roflol:

A pottering day today is on the cards.

                          Enjoy your Saturday.
