          After another freezing night the temps have been above zero most of the day! (first day in at least 10!) WE had a very cloudy morning & didn't see the sun at all. About 2pm the first drops of rain started to fall but perhaps it was freezing rain but I could only make out a few cars going past with their windscreen wipers batting away whatever was coming down!

          Even a couple of hours later when we were forecast rain with a +/- 95% possibility it still didn't seem to be raining. But I did see it splashing in a puddle. No more snow & no more frost - for a few days at least! Even so the temps are nothing to write home about having reached about 5C!

          Tomorrow we are forecast more rain but especially quite a hike in temps - we are told to expect up to 13C!

            A hard frost overnight and throughout today. Also fog this morning with cloud all day, 2C/36F. The snow that hasn't thawed is now ice and our road is like a skating rink. We have a gritting lorry come along but he drives so fast that the grit is thrown to the edges, completely useless!

                It started raining yesterday afternoon but when I went out in the evening it was extremely dangerous out there. Under the top layer of melting snow there was very slippery compacted ice :yikes:

                Although it's too dark at the moment to see properly, no lights around here, I think it has all gone now.

                      The weather here is much milder than it has been for a couple of weeks today! We have 12C and this is forecast the whole day! Maybe windy and wet at times but that's a tremendous improvement on the last couple of weeks!

                            It's very mild here as well, we didn't have much freezing rain and then just rain until 7pm last night.

                            Now it's light cloud and a moderate breeze from the south temp 12c feels like 11c
