Welcome Cats x 2.jpeg Bestgardener. I can't help you much as I am pretty useless with seeds but someone will come along shortly who can give some advice.

Ah, but not about seeds. I live in Portugal in a hot, dry climate and prefer tropical/sub tropical plants.

It would help if you say where you are located.

If you could post a list of the seeds you want to sow it would help.
You might want to get some horticultural grit as this is often used to cover the seeds after sowing.
Seed trays or similar with drainage holes.

All I can say is read the instructions, don't sow too early.
                Garden centre's sell Seed Compost.
I have a Grow house and can sow slightly earlier under the lights.

What seeds? Where do you want to plant them (in the ground or pots etc.)? What is your struggle with compost and soil?

We need more information before being able to help.

@Bestgardener Like Shiney says unless we have more info there is little help we can offer you. Knowing the place you live helps but more useful would be to know just what seeds you have or want to sow & what conditions do you have to get them to germinate [come though the compost].

Do you have a greenhouse, for example? If so, is it heated or not. Do you have a small propagator that can be put on a windowsill? There are many ways we can help but we really need a bit more info from you first.
