Hi Caroline. The plant is exceptional, especially for 12 Euros. There are a few dead flowers on it too. It was exceptionally packed. To be honest, I don't know the UK rules as I don't fall under them. Here is who I bought it from ...

Thanks @Victoria . I've looked them up but postage for a single plant is expensive to UK. Maybe it would be worth saving my pennies to buy a few and get a deal on postage!

Totally agree. However, my mindset is if I can't get it elsewhere, it is worth it ... probably even taking into account fuel if you have to drive around.

Yeah. but I can't buy them from here. Maybe Caroline can find a decent sized one there for a Tenner.

I was really referring to @CarolineL as she was finding postage expensive from Spain.
I dont think you will find any named types over here for that kind of price but I think most are raised from seed anyway and as with the Plumerias, un flowered seedlings are pretty cheap.

Oh no @pete don't start me on plumerias again. About 5 years from seed to get a standard white flower and it didn't even have a perfume! I'd prefer cuttings but the Thai sellers on eBay seem to have gone.

Well I mentioned Plumerias but I was really talking Adeniums.

BTW I have 8 plumerias on the go ATM, 6 seedlings and 2 unknown cuttings.
So if you feel like another try let me know, far more than I will be able to accommodate.

Thanks @pete but although both adeniums and plumerias are tempting, the disaster that the frost caused in my greenhouse makes me resist. Normally the heated section lets a little heat into the rest of it to keep it frost free. Not this year. I'll have to wait and see how/if things recover.

I've always treated both as conservatory plants, minimum of 7c for only a few hours and always rising to 15c during the day at least.
they dont go into my frost free greenhouse, I think both would rot.

@CarolineL I don't know if you are interested, but I get a lot from these two folk, Adrienne for my little Adeniums plus other things, and her partner. They are small but well rooted plantlets, and cheap.

Sensible. No conservatory though, and windowsills already occupied by orchids, clivia, coffee plants ...
So I'll just have to admire @Victoria 's purchases!
Oh no Victoria, please don't tell me about these ebayers:rolleyespink:

My (double glazed) conservatory went down to 4c! before Christmas and I left a Poinsettia in there, it died after a week. I have never known it to go so low but it was -7c that night.
I might have to resist any plants for sale while on holiday next month, seeds -- maybe.

Mine has never gone below 7c. but I tend to use it all the time rather than the house, two rads running in cold weather.
Not much difference between 4c and 7 c but I think duration might have an impact.
