What hose?

Over the years, Sir Kinksalot has seen his stature somewhat 'trimmed', however has now reached the point where he is too short and this, in addition to his overall condition has brought me to the conclusion that it is time for him to be retired.

Sir Kinksalot is from the Hozelock stable and in fairness has lasted reasonably well, but looking at replacements two things have become apparent - firstly, prices have gone nuts and secondly there is a fair choice available.

Durability is high up on the list of considerations, and preferably be a bit less kinky than Sir Kinksalot. What hose have you and would you recommend it or is it be avoided?

 

I do have mine on a reel (it is the Hozelock one, came with it as a 50m set) and has got to be the thick end of 12 years old at least. In fairness, it gets dogs abuse - dragged across the patio, hauled out the front, lobbed over a gate almost daily in the summer... it has had a hard life.

That is more or less the one I have (admittedly I think mine is an older version) - been quite good.

 

I bought a heavy duty Clarke hosepipe which so far has been good but it's less than a year old

I like the price of that fellow - that might just be my new hose.
